Though I have not played ck2 i know it had this amazing quality of life feature to remove the “kingdom/empire of” prefix to titles. It would be great to have it in ck3 too and I know a lot of people really want it.
Yes is found this out when looking for a fix. Some empire titles such as “the Holy Roman Empire” abs “Byzantine Empire” have the “definite_name = True” which removes the Empire of x prefix but the problem is that even those titles, when renamed by the player automatically adds the empire of x prefix.I think CK3 also has this feature. The problem is that it's pre-defined which titles are "Empire of X" (eg. Empire of Francia, Hispania etc.) and which titles are "X Empire" (eg. Arabian Empire) with no way of changing it.
it will come in the Royal court dlc. "short title" feature. you can decide to do it when you customize your primary title heraldryAlso encountered this annoyance, in my case - for a Papacy title for a custom faith, which I wanted to rename to something else only to see it turn into a "Petty Kingdom of (my amazing church title)".
Anyway, I got so annoyed that I've just made a mod specifically to address this issue (please forgive the shameless plug) - Remove Title Tier Prefix - look it up on Steam Workshop or Paradox Mods.
The mod adds a button to title menu, which allows to toggle "Empire of" etc. on and off for any player-held title.
Sorry that I can't post a direct link yet - apparently forum gods are too suspicious of links in messages from as yet silent accounts, so I'll have to edit it in later, when they relent.
