My last alert suggestion went really well, actually making it into the game, so perhaps this one will as well.

Currently in the game it is possible to go over your current military leader limit if you so desire, costing you some amount of mil points every year in exchange for more flexibility in generals.
However, there is no method for alerting the player that they have overstepped this boundary, except by hovering over the total military points icon on the main screen.

This used to be mostly fine, but as the game progressed in patches we have had more and more opportunities to earn generals, and lose them, through things such as Power Projection.

This alert has become very necessary since the advent of Power Projection, and it giving the player leader slots at 25 Power Projection. It is very easy for the player to lose a leader slot through going below 25 Power Projection, or losing the Papal Controller, etc. and losing years worth of military points because they did not know they suddenly had too many generals.

I think this would be a worthwhile quality of life improvement for the game, similar to the "Too many diplomatic relations" alert we have currently.

Here is a mockup I have created to illustrate how it could look:

The banner text is stripped from the diplomatic relations alert with appropriate word and icon changes.
