I had a crash to desktop after clicking the transfer to fleet button to create a new fleet.
We have a big problem: contrary to my first two looks at the AI in the beta patch, it's still disrespecting tile resources like crazy.
(Of course it's still not shy about needlessly redeveloping tiles either.)
I wouldn't say square one. I'd have had to get really lucky (or unlucky) to get an AI to respect all tiles on all of its worlds for me, but it's still having the problem even very early in the game when it has no constraints about where to build. I only took a couple of screenshots before I got depressed and closed the game, but here's one:So we're back to square one again?![]()

Can this be used with existing saves?
I mean in a reasonable time frame it's not "get the opt in patch or these things won't come until the next major patch" it's "We uploaded an optional one immediately to get it into people's hands asap and the full patch hotfix will be out as soon as we're sure that it's not causing even more problems" right? Why wouldnt they eventually release it?
Wait a sec....
stellaris is one of the best selling games pdx ever made, just because a few people get pissy on the forums doesn't mean they will give up, they wont abandon it alright. calm urself.
And we're singing the same old song
And we're all just singing along
Sigh. I know it's easy to grumble from an outside perspective with no knowledge of internal workings and only very rudimentary knowledge about software QA in the first place, but I can't say, as a costumer, I noticed any improvements whatsoever those last x years regarding buggy releases, buggy patches, and buggy DLC, despite repeated promises to do better.
It's just annoying, is what it is.
Then you don't remember older Paradox games. I've been here since EU2 and, oh boy, in the good old times it was a given for a game to be unplayable for weeks or months after release. The company QA is miles better now.
As has been said repeatedly, you must start a new game in the most current version to properly check if achievements are working or not. A game started in a version where achievements were broken will always have broken achievements.
