Activation Code

The game loaded without errors, but will not accept the activation code. Suggestions?

Hi sorry you encountered a problem.
Telling us which game is helpful, a few suggestions to get you started.

1) you can tell by your title that you need to respond to the activation e-mail that was sent to you.
2) Take a look through the Registration FAQ that is sticked in this forum, as a last result it has a link to zendesk.

The game loaded without errors, but still will not accept the activation code. I did not get an e-mail regarding this game. The error message I am getting is: "there was a problem activating Majesty 2 FKS:" I double checked the activation code on my game booklet and verified my e-mail address. I still can't figure this out. Help!

I'm not familiar with that game per se, but in general there is a difference between an "activation code" and a "forum registration code". Paradox-branded games don't need or use activation codes (that is, codes to unlock the game itself) - the exception I'm aware of being Mac versions of Paradox games as written, released and supported by Virtual Programming. But Paradox games do have forum registration codes to allow you access to support forums for your game, these you enter here on the forums in the My Games tab at the top of the page.

So can you clarify please:

- is your game Mac or PC?
- does it specifically ask for an activation code at load or install time?
- where did you buy/download the game?
- is the code you have specifically labelled "activation code" or what? Where did you get it?
- even if you do have an activation code, you ought to have a separate forum registration code which you should enter above

You also need to respond to the confirmation email, that these forums sent to your registered email address.

-is your game Mac or PC? A PC

- does it specifically ask for an activation code at load or install time? It asks for a product serial number, but I only have an activation code. The code is in 4 character, alpha numeric groups separated by a “-“.

- Where did you buy/download the game? Purchased at WalMart, Dec 2011.

- is the code you have specifically labeled "activation code" or what? Where did you get it? The code is located on the back of the game booklet that came with the game and is called “Activation Code”.

- Even if you do have an activation code, you ought to have a separate forum registration code which you should enter above. I do not have nor can I find a forum number.

I can see this thread in the M2 forum on exactly your problem http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?487264-Majesty-2-activation-problem . We have to get your game registered here, so you can then see the M2 tech Support forum where you can get the 1.3 patch, which in turn will allow you to activate your game. So try entering your activation code against Majesty2 here http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/mygames.php , if it won't accept it then you need to get a forum registration code to put in there.

I forgot to ask you who the publisher is (it's on the box) but it's their primary responsibility to get you a forum code. If they can't or won't, last resort is to log a ticket at paradox.zendesk.com .

Quite separately, when you signed up to the forums here you were sent an email to the address you gave, you need to respond to that email to get full access rights here. If you can't find it, check in your spam quarantine.
