I'm not an expert, but the event triggers in 1530 and has a a base time of 300 hundred months, which would cause it to happen in 1555, however it says that the year cannot be 1540, I do not know if this means that it cannot happen after 1540, which would then be an impossible event, or it excludes the year so that the event would only happen in 1556. Which one is it?

this is the text of the trigger:

is_year = 1530
NOT = { is_year = 1540 }

mean_time_to_happen = {
months = 300

PS I have the checked all the other triggers, I am only confused regarding this 2 years and this mean time to happen
PSS The ruler must be male and must him be the same? I had a king who died in 1540 was succeeded without regency by another male

You're misunderstanding what MTTH means. It does not mean that it occurs after 300 months. It's a representation of how likely it is to occur. The lower the MTTH, the more likely it is to occur, but it is never guaranteed.

I'm not familiar with how the exact formula functions. 300 months would be 25 years; there are 10 years in which that event is viable. So, let's say, roughly 40% of the time you would expect it to occur (10 / 25). The actual amount is likely different, depending on how the formula works. It'll never reach 100%, though.

-Look here there's a chart of how it works http://www.eu4wiki.com/Events.

It would help to know what country or what you are talking about. Who is this event for? What does it do?
But anyway, the triggers mean it can happen between 1530 and 1540. Not before, and not after.

Oh did not know that, thank you very much.
It is a dynamic historical event for England, if the ruler is male and there is at least one province following the protestant religion it changes the country's religion to protestant with only a -2 hit in stability instead of the -3 from the normal conversion
