Achievements with mods?

Quick question: You can only get achievements if you don't use any mods? Correct? Even if Ironman works with your mods?

only mods that do not alter the checksum. read a mod description to see if its compatible with achievements

Mostly Correct, no gamechanging mods and ironman on normal difficulty IIRC.

Some of the cosmetic mods are ironman compatible, like flags and stuff.

Well it's interesting I am using mods that do not change the checksum and I am playing Ironman but I'm not getting any achievements.

Is there any way to tell what will and won't allow achievements? Thanks.

It might be a bit easier if you say what kind of mods.
Also, is this a fresh game in 1.4?

for some reason, the checksum that is showed on the main menu is not the one you have, but the one of the patch. I have this issue too andwhen I entered multiplayer and I had 0 games compatible because everybody had a different version, the "correct one" made it clear.

I just went on a mod enabling spree and i did not see the hash change nor its sub hashes....

I was not referring to the launcher

One none obvious type of mod that alters the checksum are music mods.
At least they were when I last checked.

It's hard to believe that this game is from the same studio that made EUIV which allows me to completely redecorate the whole GUI without it affecting the checksum even one bit.

We've had unconfirmed reports from some people that they can't get achievements unless they are logged OUT of the launcher. Why on earth that would be I can't imagine, but give it a go.

True but my point was that in EUIV the UI don't change the checksum, but in Stellaris they do.

Sadly login out did nothing. Tried Terraforming and Building a Robot Pop with a fresh save, but the achievement didn't pop.
The mods that I have are purely superficial so I don't think they should be affecting the checksum. If one day the achievements start to pop up, I'll notify everyone.

The game was Iron Man and with the correct checksum at the start right? If you disable mods in an Iron Man game that was already started you are not going to earn any achievements because the savegame is already invalid.

You can check if they alter the checksum by entering the multipayer lobby btw.

Some time ago, I start a game to earn achievement, but I enable few mods - one with emblems and tree music. No chievement gain.
