Achievements not working

Hi! I'm playing an ironman game without mods but I'm not getting any achievement. What could be the problem? Thanks. Just logged out from Paradox account on launch screen but it didn't work.

Which achievement?

Any. For example, the very easy Power Overwhelming (Store/have 5000 EC) or New Shining Star (Upgrade your capital to an Imperial Complex). Of course I got much more than 5000 EC and I have an Imperial Complex in my game.

Are you sure you haven't used any mods at any point after you started the game?
Do you use custom name list?

You can try checking integrity of the game in steam. Maybe something is missing.

Thanks for your answers. I just checked the cache and everything is ok. I haven't used any mods because I started an Ironman game just for the achievements... So I really don't know...

Well I did everything I could do. I unistalled then reinstalled the game, deleted the stellaris folder with the save games and other stuff inside, started a brand new ironman game WITHOUT any mods and put my savegame in the cloud. I'm always online when I play and I still can't get any achievements. One thing I noticed is that I'm unable to get the "This game is / is not eligible for achievements" alert I have seen on many gameplays on youtube when setting up the game... Maybe this is the problem?

I also have this problem. I did a clean reinstall and removed folder in documents, have no mods installed. I start a new game in ironman, it even says "This game is eligible for achievements" in green text. Only I never get the achievements and the save, while titled ironman and obeying ironman rules, does not have the gauntlet icon.

I did have a functional ironman save earlier, this problem started after 1.5 Banks. I'm not playing on old saves - all games I tested these on were started after the release. I have Utopia installed.

Happened to me and a friend too, no mods. I expected to find here this problem as more common.

It's a common issue. I think a dev answered while back that it's because they couldn't get some of the coding regarding achievements right, and so disabled it. Achievements will be granted retroactively as long as you still have the save file. I can try to find the post.

Thanks. I wrote to the support today and they answered me the same things. So we can only wait.

Ah, I see. That means that my efforts to fix the issue by removing saves actually ruined it instead. Maybe I can still recover though. Thanks for finding it.

So we have to save our save games that had the achievements? I had one where I transformed my race into droid bodies and the achievement didn't trigger. I simply figured I done something wrong and finally gave up after the Unbidden were wafflestomping everyone. I deleted that game. Now, I just constructed a habitat around a black hole and that seems pretty straightforward in the achievement description and was very surprised that I didn't get it. Glad I found this thread before starting my own.

One question on the black hole, I am not able to construct any energy tiles, I presume this is WAI since the black hole doesn't generate any light?

Edit: The reason I ask it that the habitat sucks up a lot of energy.

Yeah black hole habitats cannot generate energy.
