Achievements in conclave not firing?

I'm in the process of an Anglo-Saxon playthrough, trying to get the "United the Kingdoms" achievement.

I became Emperor of Britannia before getting the last kingdom, but I do now hold all four. However, the achievement has not fired for me.

Have I misunderstood the achievement, is it just late coming up, or is the achievement server messed up?

Yes. I've checked a couple of times, quit, and reloaded. Ironman gauntlet is firmly visible on the save file.

EDIT: Hmm. It looks like it's become corrupted somehow. Loading up the save rather than using "continue" gives me a yellow tick, not a green one.

This is rather unfortunate. You should try relaunching the game again, it helped me a couple times.

Yeah. No good. Even with a Steam restart I'm still getting a yellow tick.

Oh well. That's borked.

This happens me too months ago. My problem was that I started CK2 without steam and later with steam. This way it's still Ironman but you get no achievements

Did your steam disconnect when you were playing? That breaks Ironman too. Even a second of disconnection.

I've also learned that using the ruler designer will break iron man mode. You can start in iron man, but it won't save or get achievements.

Not that I noticed, but my internet does sometimes glitch out. Now I think about it I did briefly have a problem with realm coats of arms, but it corrected itself so I didn't think anything of it.

I've also learned that using the ruler designer will break iron man mode. You can start in iron man, but it won't save or get achievements.

Thankfully, that's not a problem for me - I don't tend to use the designer.
