Ah, that's too bad! My Ten Thrones ending up being pretty fun. I did it by accident while going for The Good Old Days + The Frisian Coast is Long.Ten Thrones.
I was expecting an epic game of thrones, creating and landing claimants while preserving those that were already in place. (I deliberately chose not to take the obvious "gamey" route of landing kings in my empire and then setting them free all at once.) I decided that it was an appropriate goal for my von Hapsburg run after the recent implementation of their special decision.
But then I got it mostly by accident: I got the Alexander bloodline early in the run and, after switching dynastic branch via a crusade, my distant cousins just... kinda... ran with it. Historical, in a way, but also rather anticlimactic.
I started using Papal Claims/Invasions and Crusades to put my family on thrones as far as Egypt and Andalusia. When I'd get those Kingdoms, I'd just let my family run with it and grant them independence. I was the most powerful and richest realm in the land, despite only being a king of a little Dutch land. I had Crusader Bloodlines, Saintly Bloodlines, and some others that I forgot. Everyone loved the Folcwaldings, saviors of the Catholic faith!
