Achievements for EU4?

I think it is important as it gives me a reason not to cheat in some cases

And instead just in-endure the massive inflation and try to get it lower in 5-10 years.. for example...

Remove the annoying missions that you never can do..


Achievements give me reason to hold stay strong and keep fighting.

achievement would be nice, but it should be something special. I very much liked to achivement in eu 3 and it would be awesome with more. One thing i would like to add is do not make achivement for only playing the game normal way.

Is that even possible? There might be so much problems with this... Unless you are thinking of non-shareable achievements

There doesn't really exist any other system that has achievements... And its not worth it for us to make our own system for the 2-3% who don't buy games at steam .

I always thought buying direct from Gamersgate was helping the devs. Not I particularly care about achievements, since i'm not a 12 year old console player.

Why do you figure this? Surely there's a percentage of the profit that goes to gamersgate or valve in either case.

I just heard it mentioned that the devs got more money that way.

Whether the devs get more money is doubtful I suppose, all depends on how much each service takes for itself. But seeing as Gamersgate is owned partly by Johan (IIRC) at least one dev can bask in the profits.

Nah, i sold my shares a year ago.. We get the same percentage whereever you buy it online. Steam is about 95% of the market, and i suspect a large part of those buying at places like gg would buy a steam version if that was the only version.

True. Although GG is the vastly superior platform as you don't need additional silly software.

The only other store that I used to purchase PC games within 2012 is GOG.

This is true, but their payment options aren't very good.

Paypal annoys me, and keeps telling me I'm not who I say I am, and their second payment option charges me a few dollars more for using them.

They still have moneybookers. That's how I make all purchases there, via my card.
And well, I'd probably buy EU4 even if it was only on Steam. But I'd wait until a sale.

Really? I tried to buy Port Royale 3 yesterday, and the option didn't show up.

The last few games I've tried to buy it didn't show up as an option.

And to stay on topic: I liked the achievements from Eu3, they give me a challenge to focus on when I get tired of doing whatever I want, so I'd hope they're present in the game in some form.
