Achievements disabled in vanilla game.

I only noticed this after the latest patch, but I haven't played ironman in a while.

Whenever I try to start a new game with ironman, it gives me the message:

"The game data files have been altered in some way disabling achievements in ironman mode. Check so you don't have a mod loaded or verify your game files."

Some notes:

• I have no mods loaded
• I have verified the integrity of the game using steam.
• I also tried a full reinstall, after deleting all folders pertaining to CK2.
• I am not using ruler designer

Is this an issue on my end? If it is, does anyone have an idea what it could be? I'm completely baffled.

I would guess your checksum is wrong. Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
