Achievements aren't working?

It's Ironman and it said achievements were on. WTF, has anyone else encountered this and fixed it? Do I have to contact Steam?

I also looked at the common problems post, and what do they mean by "11/11/1444"?

While Steam manage achievements they have nothing to do with you earning them. They will just push you back to us.

If the game says you can get achievements, what are you seeing that says you cannot get them?

That's the start date of EU4, it must be a pasting error - where exactly do you see that?

After looking again, somehow I went from CK2 problems to EU4 problems, so it is correct.

And I just started a new game, no mods, ironman on, yet no achievements. It literally said at the bottom "Achievements: Enabled". It was a shattered world game, is that the problem? It says nowhere that I won't get achievements, but that I would but I don't.

Should I record the next game and send it so you could see what the problem is?

Here are some screenshots from the game I just played. It says they are enabled yet I started as a Count and became a King and I didn't get it.

Most achievements can not be achieved in alternate worlds, whether shattered or random.

The Random World or the Shattered World buttons mean that they are mandatory to fulfill the achievement (currently 5 out of 161). For achievements without the icons, the buttons must not be selected.
