Achievement 'The Princess is in this Castle' not working?

Other achievements do work, I got the 'Take that Habsburg' in the same game.

So, what am I doing wrong or not seeing?
Could it be that the new building system is causing this achievement not to work?

Did you leave the Fort at a castle, or upgrade it. The achievement specifically requires a castle in the province. (Lowest level fort)

I'm not even sure what I should have done but I got this achievement in current patch automatically when playing as Castile so it seems to be working.

You need a castle (any higher fort level won't work) in your capital while having a female heir.

Well, I have a female heir and a castle (nothing higher) in my capital...

I started this game when CS came out, other achievements seem to work just fine.

Only reason i can think of that could cause this is when you start as a nation that has female heir at the beginning because those are not eligible for this achievement. Hungary however starts in interregnum and with no heir so...

Same here on my current England playthrough. Seems a bit tough to get it.

Starting with no heir (as Hungary and England both do) disables the achievement, despite how you might interpret the achievement description. I believe you need to start as a country that has a living male heir to be eligible.

The description is how it should be working, but a bug means that "no_female_heir = no" returns FALSE if there is no heir (and hence, makes you ineligible for the achievement), and so only countries that start the game with a male heir qualify.

I believe its working as intended, judging from formas response

Yea. Have an English game. Already had 2 queens and 3rd on her way to throne All 3 in a row
Was also wondering about achievement
