Its a known bug. Its fixed in the new beta.

How on earth did you puppet all those countries and somehow be in faction with Germany?

Was this non-historical and italy didnt join the Axis? How did you go about this, about to tackle this one myself.

Germany is my puppet, too. All of the Axis is dead.

I used this start

Then, I did join the Axis but NEVER join vs Allies. This way you are safe from Italy's focus to conquer greece.

When the USSR v Germany war sets out, you can choose to join when you are ready and take as many VPs as possible. At this point you really want to rush from Baku to Murmansk -- seriously -- to puppet most of USSR.

With a russian puppet start preparing for war with the axis, but don't call russia in. Take out the Balkans 1 by 1 and then eventually call in russia when you are midway through Germany., Otherwise russia gerts run over.

Then puppet ITaly and Romania.
