Personal opinion: less "blob over X," more focused achievements that force creative play.

my personal favorite achievement was old KoJ achievement, forcing you to from Jerusalem before 1500.

I would nominate "as Venice, in League of Cambrai start, win the starting war." It's Venice vs. France, Austria, Aragon but I think it's a winnable war. Not sure if that's easily code-able though.

They should really make more achievements based on the later start dates. They did make one require the 1776 start, so it's definitely possible, at least. I think some creative and interesting stuff can be done with the majority of the post-1444 starts, like winning the 80 Years' War as the Netherlands, or the Seven Years' War as Prussia, etc.

At the Napoleonic start date as France, conquer all of Europe.
Birthplace of Christ:
As the Papal State control all of the Holyland and Egypt, and convert it to Catholic.

Arguably, since the union of Aragon and Castile was actually a dynastic union--instead of a personal union--I honestly think that the Iberian wedding should have a chance to proc for both. I think a more appropriate achievement for Aragon would be to own all of Italy.

My Own Pool: Control all provinces surrounding the Black Sea while playing as country that does not own any of those provinces at the start of the game.

Well, the achievement to restore the Roman Empire should be expanded.

The Empire Reclaimed: Be Byzantium.
The Holy Roman Empire is dismantled.
Religion is Orthodox.
Pentarchy is restored.
At least own the following provinces:

I'd suggest this for a Chinese culture nation, for a harder version of the achievement.

Most of the achievements here are just "conquer this or that". Which is dumb. More original or interesting achievements is what there should be. Like an achievement where you have to convert all of Prussia and Pomerania back to Slavic. This is interesting cause in deed, Pomeranian and Prussian where Slavic cultures before they where Germanized. This achievement would be good for like Poland or Bohemia/Silesia.

Well, what about a mission to End the Scism then as Byzantium? Since that is personally quite achievement worthy.
