Absorb Clans Bug?

I just absorbed one of my clans, ie I right clicked on vassal and hit "absorb clan". He of course dissappeared, but so did his clan. Total population went down by the number of people in his clan. I thought I would get his population, or his population would get distributed among the other clans. It shouldnt dissappear. Any answers?

1. please include the version number in your title.
2. Not a bug. Nobody else gets the population (its one of the controls on using absorb clan) - technically it forms part of his army when the absorbed clan goes wandering, although obviously that does not happen if he's imprisoned.
