Absolute crown authority - Levy effects

I am the Duke of Mazovia within Poland and my king has recently instituted Absololute crown authority. The year is 1312 and I have 7 holdings that are mine with lots of count vassals. I have upgraded all baronies to almost max, but have just noticed that the maximum of my own leveys is 998 - as in i can only ever raise a maximum of 998 once fully reinforced.

My leige is not at war so he is not using them, but iknow absolute crown authority means he can raise 80% of my levey - do i automatically lose that 80% always, whilst at absolute, or is this a bug. Dont remember this happening before?

A certain chunk of your levy is reserved for your liege - you can't do anything about it short of starting a faction to lower CA.

yo, that measly 998 troops you have is just the troops you can raise at the moment.

If you declare war against your liege, you'll be independent and have full access to your levies. Since the king has 80% of your levies reserved with high crown authority, you will only get 20%.

20% = 1000

if you declare independence you'll have roughly 5000 troops.
