I can't believe this bull shit, Im playing as Poland and trying to integrate Lithuania, but it is freaking impossible apparently because they continuously send insults, so every time I give them, they counter with an insult and my relations with them implodes. Im seriously starting to get pissed off and im just going to dissolve alliance and conquer by force at this point.

The only way to do it is let them secede and hope they learn their lesson when the Golden Horde unleashes hell on them, and when their women scream and children lament, they will only have themselves to blame as they look upon the cast away Polish Flag.

Seriously? Screenshot please. :D But anyway, PU juniors stay in line when you have a bigger army. That's about the long and short of it. How do you two compare? Try adding some units and see if it makes a difference.

One trick you can use is to constantly be at war until you're more powerful than them, either with the hordes or with whatever distant Muslim nation was unfortunate enough to get a crusade called on them. They won't insult you while you're both at war.

Also, make sure that Genoa doesn't collapse. I recall a game I played where Venice conquered the horde and collapsed. Among the freed nations was a massive Golden Horde Sultanate, complete with Venetian tech, fleets, and cores on all the Tatar lands.

The junior partner in a PU will always send insults to try to break free from the union, just as a player would in that situation.

There are two ways to stop this behaviour:

1. Have a larger army than your junior partner.
2. Be at war.

Either will work. As Poland your force limit is smaller than Lithuania's until you conquer some rich provinces, so you might have to go over the force limit to maintain a higher army than them. It's up to you to decide if that's worth it.
