Hi, I´ve found a disconcerting situation in the event chain mentioned in the title. The thing is that the system in the event where you defeat the second enemy fleet has spawned really far away from my home system, unless the rest of events, that have happened much closer. I wouldn´t mind, if it wasn´t because the system in question includes a juicy 22 size planet of the kind prefered by my main species. I chose no habitable planets nearby when I set my game, so that planet i´d very much like to colonize. But it lies far away, beyond the borders of another empire.

It didn´t make much sense since the event spawned there, to have to cross almost half the galaxy in order to suffocate a local rebellion. But now that I see that the system includes the prize of a big planet with 90% habitability it hurts even more.

What I don´t know is if this planet is supossed to spawn every time this event happens... If so, I think there´s something wrong with the distance at which it spawns

I believe it's just a coincidence that there's a habitable planet in the same system.
This is one of many events that spawns based on distance, not the number of hyperlane links between you and it.
Is it kinda-sorta close to your borders, but many jumps away due to the hyperlane layout?

Off topic but that event should be deleted from the game. The reward is so low for having to invest so much in the early game. It forces you to build corvettes when you should be building colony ships and science ships. Best way to deal with it is to not research the initial three ships at all so that your science ships don't get blocked by hostiles spawned by the event. Later on you just don't bother finishing it off cuz there's no point in the hassle, so you end up with a ship debris in yout capital system for the rest of the game. At least that's how my games go.

It´s far in both ways. There´s room for another empire between that system and my core sector indeed

@Krindude, so you know the event well, the juicy planet in that system is pure coincidence?

I also know the event. The planet was just coincidence. It doubtless existed before the event went off.

While there are events that reward you with planets, they're pretty rare.
