I saw in he movie that the Sweden didn't have enough fertilizer for something-or-other.

e.g. The United Kingdom is at war with Portugal. The Portuguese have lost their colonies but are resisting the British landings on their home soil as they are quickly sending troops about to trouble-spots and gaining a local advantage in numbers. Could the UK blockade the portuguese so they couldn't get enough coal and also diplomaticly get the Spanish to stop exporting coal (in exchange for money etc) to the Portuguese. This could then mean that the Portuguese couldn't quickly move about troops, leaving British forces to land unoposed in most places.

Thanks for any answers.

whoa... i was with you up to the e.g..

I believe blockading portugal's ports should be possible and put a severe strain on their resources. And Spain should be able to "Trade Embargo" portugal but I don't know if you as the UK could diplomatically pressure spain to do that

Whats so hard to understand? Trains need coal, hence no coal, limited troop movement, unopposed British landings on mainland Portugal.

He wants to know if this is possible, through blockades and diplomatic pressure.

Which would be awsome! :)
