I believe they are armies.

In this example the Mediterranean Theatre is selected which consists of 3 armies. pink army got 2 divisions, blue 5 and red 4 divisions.

Personally I don't like the color saturation, thematically doesn't fit the overall art direction of the game. ( just my opinion )

Should be correct. And the number in the shields are the number of division assigned to this army. Same as the number left from the theatre name is the total number of divisions in this theatre.

I would remove or edit that image asap, otherwise you will get in trouble for breaking forum rules. Swastikas arent allowed here and i am sure Had a dad wont be happy about it. Simply censor the little button with the swastika on it and you will be fine.

I love the bright colours as they are easy to see. I would like to have a colour picker though so I can choose my own. The blues together are to hard for me to tell apart (if they are even different).

EDIT: Admittedly they similar colours are in different theaters so probably won't be seen together but still....

Yeah I'm not really fussy on this aspect of the UI. I would prefer the name of the army instead of arbitrary colour coding that means nothing and looks out of place.

Of course that might look too much like an OOB for the dev's liking

I like to rename and customize every single unit in the game I have, so I will be using these coloured shields a lot. A colour picker would be nice, as well as a different shape of the shield (although this one looks nice too).
