First of all, I would like to thank HBS for adding that quicker turn option.

Though I think it is not quite there. When a shot has been made, a mechwarrior will comment on that hit...
"shot got internal"
"cant take another one of those"
"barely a scratch"
etc.

At that time you just stare at the mech. When you have played 50 missions, you learn to read the GUI at the top, and you see the blinking parts as well as the hits through the 3D world. Once you are on that level of game-experience the additional info from the pilots become irrelevant.

It could be an idea to actually have the ability to skip this "outro" of the sequence. To me, it is the part that drags the game out the most. You basically just stare at the mech for several seconds and there is nothing happening.

Oh, and maybe also make the knockback animation skippable. It also takes quite some time and there is no new info here. Once you seen 100 mechs knock over, there is no real benefit to watch it the 105th time.

I agree, quick turn option is very very enjoyable. Thanks a lot.
I agree, the comment phase is not usefull but not really annoying.
I'm not really agree with you concerning knockback animation because is not so aften then the other concepts and see the mech fall give us the taime to really understant it on the floor.

I just add an option that really take us a lot of time for nothing : space travel.
I know during the space travel we can encounter some events but this is a boring phase, and more for space jump animation, not usefull at all.
Must be switchable from the playing options because it's cool when you begin the game (and not cool at all later).
And maybe this option could save memory , graphic memory and memory leaks to better performance without touch the game.
I have some friction issues in particular in mechbay fitting and store it could indirectly reduce this effect...Click on a button can take few seconds late un the game !

As long as knockback is skippable with the SPACE key, you wouldn't really miss the knockdown animation and it would be just a convenience feature for those that have less time to play. Battetech can get quite grindy.

When you just farm money or mechs, the missions often are not challenge but more of a "farming equipment/c-bills" thing.

Funny thing is, when I am fighting super hard 5 skull missions, I actually do not skip anything. It is tense and challenging. I enjoy every part. Though if it is a 3 skull mission, I just want to get over with it quick.

With this option, I smile more often :)
I feel fun the turbo mode of our mech, espetionnaly heaviest ones.
But the wow effect is an alpha. Some impressive ones : LRM and now LL boats.
The feeling of many rockets is great, the ennemy takes many hit, and attempt to resist to impact.
The LL alpha strike is very impressive if you destroy the ennemy because of the instant effect of this weapon.
