I read about it being the new meta in multiplayer and I tried it in single player.

The computer could not stop me , I made a fanatic purifier ( with militarist) I built an other alloy foundry and after some years replace the consumer good industry and built another.

As soon as I found another empire I built 30 corvette and buy selling excess resources payed the energy upkeep and I vanquished my enemy and put its pop on my capital to forced labor.

Then it was time for another empire it was also easy but this time I crashed my economy I did not have the energy to profit from the newpops ( or to resettle them) .

So it is a nice strategy but I am doing something wrong problably I should delete my fleet and store some deposit from war to war.

Also By reading around someone said that purging was really slow but to me it seem really fast so that when I conquered another empire only 8 pop remained from the first one.

Any thoughts? Thank you for reading!

I think you should probably go fanatic militarist authoritarian. That way your captured pops won't die off fast. You can use them as slaves and your primary pops will work all the admin and specialty jobs. I would think that barbaric dispoliers would work great with this new meta. Fanatic Authoritarian militarist with barbaric dispolers and slavers guilds/aristocratic elite.

Good question , I am away from home so I dont really know ( I used to play one step up from the standard in 2.1) but I did not change the default setting when 2.2 dropped .
So an educated guess is the default one or my last one
Thing is that any aggressive tactic on such a low difficulty it pretty redundant, since playing pacifist will also put all other empires on pathetic after less than a century.

Grand Admiral
No Scaling
¡Glavius's Ultimate AI - Stellaris_Test Version (Best mod ever)

Have fun. The AI is pretty activ with this setup. Expanding and building military up at the same time.

Its still do able but a very high risk high reward tactic. If you loose you loose hard.
If the AI counters your ship design (with glavius they even retrofit their fleet while you are sieging planets)
you loose. And with those boni/bonuses from Grand Admiral they are sometimes harder then actual humans in MP.

And more then once if I made some silly small mistake I was not able at all to rush my second empire and had too turtle up
after conquering my first victim.
