can you please make client states and trading cities take no diplomatic relations slot? of course there'd be some debuff. client states will take an entire state instead of just one province, and if your total territory is less than 5x (change this number to anything), there'd be extreme buff towards liberty desire. while as for trading cities, they only take one province, but they'll not go to ANY war and the overlord have to protect them. they're just for trade after all. which means, trading your province along with it forcelimit and stuff in exchange for more money.
the main idea is simply to make defender of faith tier 3 or above easier to reach. it kinda sucks for me playing as orthodox russia while there's only 3-4 nations following the same faith. same story with HRE after restoring the empire. of course it would be wise to give some limitations so no mass vassal strategy could be done easily.
and about colonial nations, can you please make them not always joining overlord wars? it's crazy when all I want to do was just expanding my Australia colony by subjugating aborigines and have all my American colonies from Argentina to Canada also joining said wars. it would be nice if you could also add liberty desire debuff if you make your colonial nations joining your war too much. thus, making portugal and spain could lost their colonial nations easier if you fight with them often enough.
