Hi there!
In the cool recent video-presentation you told us that abandoned buildings will sometimes appear in the game. We will have to demolish them to avoid negative impact on the neighbourhood.
The question is: if we leave them (or, say, burned down buildings) alone, will they eventually be replaced without human interaction? Please tell me they will :)

It's just a thing that's really important for me in this kind of games: you should be able to build a working system, not to fix everything up all the time. I'm fine if such fixing can improve the city performance significantly, but I still want to be able to just lean back on my chair and see the problems appear and disappear, because the work I've made is stable and able to repair itself.
Thanks! Regardless of your answer to this one, it's a pretty cool game you're making.

Yeah I agree and hope for the same features. When the economy pics up or the area is improved, abandoned buildings should automatically be either renovated back to life or demolished and replaced with a construction site that becomes a new building.

Maybe the real estate agent can take care of this matter? After the construction of the office of the real estate agent will take care of abandoned buildings. Thus, after the restoration of the buildings to life can sell them to new buyers?

Has this been implemented in the meantime?
Just started playing again after a few years.
Without the auto-demolish mod, this game was unplayable.
how exactly is it "unplayable"? abandoned buildings have little to no affect on the game, they delete and get replaced when there is demand for that building type, it has been this way since the game was released. you just need to wait. if you design your city so that no buildings become abandoned then you no longer need that terrible mod.

maybe don't necro a five year old thread

Abandoned buildings do have a small negative effect. Often get green :) when you demolish them.

https://skylines.paradoxwikis.com/Zoning#Building_Level

Table at bottom lists negative values for abandonment.

That said, if there are so many that you have to have auto-bulldoze, then you are doing it wrong. I had a lot in my first city, but as I got better at it, I get much fewer.

Also, if they all get auto-dozed, you might not be as aware that there is a problem and what it is. It is helpful to look at the reason why the buildings have become abandoned so that you can do something about it.
