Just a heads up, I am planning on closing this award when the year is up. I personally believe that the purpose of the award (highlighting people who put the extra effort to create truly beautiful maps, infographics, and imagery) has been lost. I do not mean this as a slight to recent winners, but it is what it is.

Congratulations to all winners and sorry for how this must end.
