In 1661, we dishonoured our alliance with Austria. We had spent so much money to restore our relationship with Bohemia that we thought dowing them now would be a sort of waste. Our Plan was to wait a few years that the war had diminished their aggressiveness, and than join the war but on Bohemia's side. The Brits were at War with the Huron people. But all the English colonies were occupied and there was no way for British troops to liberate them. That is probably why they gladly accepted us to join their alliance. The Huron War went like the previous Indian War, in a Blitz. Huron was annexed quickly and we resigned our Alliance 1664 and joined Bohemia on January the 1st of 1665. The same year Austria seemed to be exhausted and asked for a white peace with Bohemia, it ended up paying some 50 Ducats or so.
Time was now to conquer, one by one, or more precisely, two by two, all Austrian provinces, and to concentrate an Army in Steiermark (the Gold mine) where Austria was sending all their new troops.
Steiermark was taken in June 66, Savoy in December 66, Piemonte in July 67, Presbourg in August 67, Bern in October 68, Dauphiné in December 68, Schwytz in January 69, Austria and Veneto in February 69, Ostmarch in June 69, Tyrol in August 70. Then came the time of peace negotiations. Our first objective was to get as many provinces as we could, including Steiermark. But as they systematically refused we went on for vassalization, as the Bohemian example showed how it was possible to restore relations with a forced vassal. A whole year went on where we sent our claims and they sent theirs. Finally, in August 1671, they gave us Steiermark and Tyrol to disenclose our Italian Provinces and became our Vassal.
