Don't worry about resizing, though. I'm reducing the resolution slightly and taking my current four favourites and stitching them together and resizing slightly to make one big picture that fills my desktop. Don't tell Warspite, but I've got one of your ship pictures up there at the moment. ;)
Thank you very much. It's really something for me that you take time to go through this thread, knowing that eye concentration appears to be difficult for you at present stage.
Ahhh...but it's worth it. I derive a great deal of pleasure from the reading that I do here on the board, so I just have to take it in smaller "doses" and take some breaks to look at other things (different distances, etc.). It has certainly been a treat to watch your AART develop.

I don't sppose you're taking any requests are you? I'd love to have a few Corot paintings at some point, and anything that Monet happens to find inspiring in Giverny would also be a treat... Also, Renoir's dancers series is amongst my fovourites...

I really must thank you for treating us to your work, and I am glad that you plan to spend some time reading some of the other AARs here - even if they are in English :D - since I think you'll find a number of stories that you'll enjoy.

Hmmmm, I like the ship painting by Monet, it has a lot of contrast in colors and it reminds me of a beautiful sunset after a nice days sailing.

I dont care too much for Monets painting of his first reign, i think its a city scape? The colors just dont jive with my tastes and its too abstract for me, kinda made me think Monet used crayons on this one as a child:D. Thats just me though because I like detail in paintings, details that flirt with my imagination or just give a clear picture. But too abstract or cubed is bad to my eyes hehe;)

I cant wait for what is next, keep up the great stuff Apebe.

Glad to see you dislike Warspite...:D , I'll do some more of them ...:D Just kidding

I'm going to see about Corot. I'll be off to Saint Malo (IRL) this week end so won't certainly be able to post anything till Monday. Maybe at work, will have to see if it's quiet or not.

But I still want to know if I made the Right choice :
Here is the problem :

1. Bohemia is my Vassal and is allied to Saxony. It was a war vassalisation but I lifted up the relations to a good point.

2. Austria is allied to Venice and is also my ALLY

3. Austria really hates Bohemia and DOW them

CONCLUSION : WHAT IS MY MOVE ?

IIRC you don't loose stab from attacking a vassal, since you treat him like dirt anyway, he looses from attacking you though, since your guys run a third of his government.

I rarely fight my vassals though, so I could be wrong, but still the point holds, you can always revassalize him, and you'll only loose a little popularity with him for fighting, since you have neither DoWed him, nor taken any lands of his.

If you are the alliance leader, then yes. It is always a pain in the neck when you are alliance follower and can't invite your vassals into the alliance when you want to annex them.

Unless you want to take the opportunity to force-vassalize Austria and Venice, and want a cheap way out of the alliance, stab-wise.

Precision : I first joined the Alliance but when it expired I became the Leader in reinviting all of them.

So that would be 3 votes to 0 in favour of : keeping alliance with austria and follow them in their aggression of our vassal.

Thanx Hardu... how would impressionists deal with the Bohemia/Austria dilemna ?

I put it here again because it has been put in previous page.

2. Austria is allied to Venice and is also my ALLY

3. Austria really hates Bohemia and DOW them

Protecting your vassal at the risk of being hated by a powerful nation would be foolish. However, protecting them may very well lead you to annexion + you are now strong enough to resist Austria. Therefore, I would recommend to break free with Austria and support your dearest neighbour who is sweating to give you 50% of its income...

A thought...if you have very good releations with Austria then dishonour the alliance and then reform it ASAP (i.e. with you as the alliance leader again) which will let Austria conduct its own campaign against Bohemia without you being at war with them. Whatever Austria takes then becomes irrelevant since you're allied but you won't be harming your relations with Bohemia...

MrT has a good idea but here is another one for you to consider. If Saxony is a down to one province, take it out AFTER you beat Bohemia back into submission and re-vassalize her. By take it out, I mean annex. Then Bohemia will be all alone and you can bring her into your alliance after the peace is made. Presto no more wars between Austria and Bohemia.

If this is not possible (meaning Saxony has two or more provinces), just go with MrT.

If I dishonnour the Alliance (Austria+Venice+Me) I cannot be leader of it anymore... If I try to rejoin that Alliance I'm included again in their War against Bohemia and Saxony (as a follower) . That doesn't work... or else I have to wait that the war ends...
But I'm surprized, following Austria in their War against my vassal should de stab me by some points. Anyway I have to loose stab.

It looks like its time to paint Bohemia out of the picture. Bohemia seems to have painted themselves into a corner with Austria and there appears to be no way out until the paint dries but with they last long enough for the paint to dry? :p :D :p I think the paint fumes are getting to me I'm starting to see red everywhere I look. :p

Wave good by to Bohemia.:(

Having bid goodbyes to my Lady as she went to the other Continent, and having put my Son to bed, I took a Bottle of good old Rioja and ran to the... computer, giggling and rubbing my hands in anticipation: I had planned to read your story this Saturday night, after stealing time at work to sample piece of it since I found this forum...

... and what a nice Saturday night it was! :D Apebe, your creativity rules ;) I've sent the link to all my best friends :)

And yes indeed, it would appear that Bohemia is counting the last days of its dear independence (?)

BTW ... where do you host your paintings? (bowing profusely and saying "I am soll'y, I am soll'y for a techy question ")

Hum, hum ... I'm rather puzzled. Let me explain why.

This is what happened : even the huge majority asked for a Bohemia crushdown I dishonoured my alliance and looked around the world. English was in War with the Huron people. I decided to join their ailliance and was immediately put in War with the Huron. But now the problem : I bought this Eu2 game for a friend, graved a CD with the famous 1.05 Patch and some other stuff. We installed it this week-end in Saint Malo and started playing. My friend took (joined) an alliance with some country that was at War and what happened : brrrzzzzzzzz . NOTHING. He was sort of allied but for a next war. Same game, two different rules.

That is why I didn't follow Austria because it would've shot my stability by xxx points. So I invaded huron instead and annexed them ... and then turned again Austria ... and rest will follow tomorow.;)

Gaijin de Moscu : thanx a lot for taking some time reading this. I really appreciate. I just came back from Week End, but expect that will sneak into your Bipolar world tomorow :D :)
