It's pretty much seeing how you can write about your exploits on EU in a creative (or not so creative) way that's always different. It's pretty fun actually and it's a good way to raise your post count.;)

After Action Report, which is, as you say, an accounting of what happened during the course of the game.

As to the format and the exact details to be included....that is entirely at the author's discretion....;)

That sums it up. But don't be so antaganistic, AAR's are really fun to participate in because they also tell the different peoples writing and playing styles.

Not usually. It's actually that you have to take a good amount of notes so that you can properly remember the events as they occured.

What usually happens is that you will choose a nation and then set goals to dictate the AAR. ie in my Tuscan AAR, I decided to do a minor and then I'd decided to do Tuscany beforeso that's what I did.

The only problem is...

Most of the time i go @ 2years/minute because time needs to FLOW!!!

then i just end up pressing enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...enter,...MAN!!!

that's the annoying part, then... Ill end up doing everything much slower, or do i just say the month it came???

thomash,
now writing always brings choices so its not an easy question to answer. if you read some of the AAR's you will get an idea of the range of treatment and styles. some people go for blow by blow gamelog type stuff, some people have more extensive narratives, some people are screenie based etc. its really up to you.
and AAR's all get read and they are always appreciated. its a very interesting genre.
if you take notes along the way, i think you would get over the time-needs-to-flow part, you will be busy enough.
and it also makes you a better writer... who knows what you got?

I noticed... Yesterday evening and today I played fifty years of Portugal coloring the whole of Africa from (Turkish) Tunisia to Nubia!!! Then I got mixed up in Europpean wars, so I'm struggling to survive;)...

I got my government toppled twice, and now got problems with former trusty Catholic HRE nations... HELL!!!

I think I'll start writing the four pages today...
