Things like what happened in this game always seem to happen when you're hands off or if you're hands on but far away from Europe. In a recent Brunei game, Saxony was a superpower for awhile in northern Europe, but now the Netherlands has conquered almost all of Saxony and now is HUGE in Germany. In Russia, Novgorod got big, then Suzdal, then finally Muscovy started moving around 1700. The Golden Horde still exists and is big. In Asia, Brunei is dominating :D. In the Americas, Spain managed to actually conquer the Aztecs, and Venice has a pretty nice north american empire. That reminds me, Venice conquered Greece and some of Anatolia and took Thrace from the Ottomans, who are very weak. Austria has been pathetic, and at around 1650 had only 4 provinces. Also, for some reason the Ottomans didnt move their capital to thrace and the Andalusia CoT never formed.

You mean you're playing as a major country like Dakota, and haven't even conquered the world by 1600? Pathetic.

Oh wait, you probably don't edit them to have 60/50/10/10 techs from the start, with the naval not 60 to avoid inflation.

Nice screens :)

I've never seen the OE that good when played by the AI. Uber-Austria is clearly a problem which happen to often.

As for colonization, the number of uncolonized territories must be linked with the increase number of colonists to get colonial cities... (1000 instead of 700).

i am playing as palatinat at the moment, got up to three provinces early but had trouble with the austrian bloc and had to abandon all hope of owning a big centralised country in gernmany. How did the a.i manage 7 provs?

Actually I was rather surprised at that myself, they got beaten down to 2 or 3 provinces several times, but they alway managed to claw their way back. That was really rather nice :) .

Btw. if you are having troubles with seeing the screenies, it is because of my geocities account, which only has a limited number of downloads :( .
