Ok gang, I think I'm going to do Japan for my next AAR, and then I'll do an Italian AAR after that. Either Tuscany or the Papal states, we'll see then.

I'll try to work in some interesting things for the Japanese AAR. And I do know a bit about their history, so it'll be interestign still. But it'll be the "unified" POV of a single family like B'Burg was.

Thanks to all. I'll start playing it either tonight or tomorrow, and start posting as soon as B'Burg is done.

I think that is an excellent choice!! As you really don't see too many AAR's outside of Europe, I am looking forward to reading it. I'm sure it will be as good as your Brandenburg one.

Perhaps you could base it on one of the historical families like the Oda or Takeda or something.

Idiotboy,

Basically it will. But since no family lasted the whole era (or anywhere close) and certainly was not in a position to influence government the whole time, I won't be able to do it from a "single" family's POV.

THough I think I'll probably be both the Oda and the Takeda at various points, before settling in as the Tokugawa's.

Speaking of writing/playing styles.... I am pretty much settled with what my next AAR will be about. It will be a concept seen before, but hopefully with a new twist. :D

What it will be about? I hope to post the first part tomorrow, so be patient. Nut don't tie me to this announcement. ;) It'll take place in 1700, though.

BTW,

How many would be interested in RPGing some or all of this? It might allow for some of the diversity of views that this will need as well, and be kinda fun.

If anyone would want to, let me know over the next couple days. Then we'll close this down. (LD- this can be set aside on Monday, or sooner if no one posts before then.)

Thanks again all.

Idea but dunno if it will work

Ok hears an idea...Playing as an obscure nation, turning off pause for event if possible and then checking in say 1700 what happened to the world while you were sleeping. What I mean is not doing a thing, just watching everyone else. I wouldn't really like to do it, but go ahead and try it. I don't care

Hmmm not sure.
Someone would probably conquer you and then it would send peace deals but Im not sure what happens if you don't say accept or decline.
Does the game automatically choose yes for a peace deal if you don't say nothing?
If it doesn't choose anything a white peace would eventually be signed.
So nothing would happen.

But that can't happen because when you lose a war you can simply not give them an answer to the peace treaty and get a white peace in 3 years, so the game must choose yes to a peace treaty if you don't in which case youd be annexed pretty soon.

As far as I noted, all multiple choice events pause the game whether you like it or not. (Could have missed how to turn off that, though. Then again, you would just wait to pick the -200 d option for three years till you have enough money.) I tried a hands off game (classic nation for it in EU1 was Japan), but kept getting pestered with events till I crashed to desktop after 70 years.

It would be more feasible if there was an option to turn off all (random?) events.
