Every once in a while when I feel like a bit of a chuckle I come and read this one. Since it hasn't been near the top of the board in about 9 months, I thought I'd give it a little bump for some of the newer members to have a laugh.

Keep in mind that this was written back before EU II was released, so beta-testers had to be careful about what they said, etc....

I wouldn't have thought that PTI was so fun to play. I'll have to fire it up when I get home tonight...now let's see, what's the tag for PTI...hmm...seems like it's missing from the scenario...now what would they choose for PTI?

I'm stumped, anyone help, or should I go to the mod forum

Thanks for the ideas. I'll have to be sure to NOT list England as a major, so that I can switch to playing them.

Although, can't I pipe those events directly to England?

I've piped events when I'm testing new events. It's "Event 1008 ENG"

I once played a PTI game. 't was fun. Here are some screenshots.

This was at the beginning of the game. Nothing was happening nowhere.

Doing some conversions. Conversions are fun, they cost you nothing as there is nobody to convert. It takes no time at all, but you don't have a chance of converting. None.

1704 already and nothing has happened. Also note that the treasury hasn't changed, but we do gain VPs. Primary source: one mission: "Conquer Nowhere".

Last one, here you can see that I'm trying to do nothing. Completed more Nothing missions. The funny thing is that you have quite some manpower in PTI, but you can't seem to find them. Anyway, with no provinces to raise no armies, who needs manpower anyway.

Notice the shield: it's white stripes and 9 white dots on a white background. Keep that in mind, people.

I don't have a shot of the end game, sorry. I came in 3rd after France and Zimbabwe.

Are you people blind or what. That's no boar. You can CLEARLY see that there's 9 (nine) white dots. Okay, they might resemble a boar, but still!

Any interest whatsoever in a Denmark AAR?

Well, folks, in between playing Oman and being bashed by rebels in "The Righteous BastAARds" I've had the chance to play Denmark in 1.05 with the EEP (no new Danish events, although I might add I'm scripting some suggestions myself). I enjoy the game, and have managed to preserve the Union of Kalmar beyond 1500.

I know there was "The Fellowship of Kings", and I really liked that one.

However, as I consider writing a serious AAR for once, I'd like to do Denmark, as I have an agenda by doing so.

Why Denmark? Well, apart from the UK, it's my favourite country to visit (with Sweden as a third) when I'm just going away for a short trip. And Denmark's history is intertwined with the history of Norway in so many ways, and even with my family's history. So I'd like to do an AAR about Denmark. That's the gist of it.

But is there any interest for that these days?

It sounds like the perfect country for you to write an AAR about. Believe me, if Canada was a playable country I'd have done an AAR on it ages ago. Since it's one that you're familiar with and interested in, it's an ideal candidate for you to write about. I'll be reading (as long as you promise to finish it).

But you COULD play Canada !

It is not because all AAR starts in a GC that you couldn't make a interesting Canadian AAR starting around 1500/1600:

Take a major, colonise NA, release Canada as a vassals as soon as possible (editing the save file if needed), reload after having choose Canada in another game and give it a go !

Nah. It would be utterly a-historical. Confederation doesn't happen until 1867 so just about the only thing I could do would be to play Lower Canada and see if I can successfully rebel from England and reallign myself with France. Doesn't really make for much of an interesting game considering all of the work I'd have to put into making it exist in the first place.

No. I've resigned myself to playing with what Paradox has supplied me...a great, great game.

Hmmm...time to go annex the Danes now.
