Well, I just saw that you put Fellowship of the Kings as Collaborative, so it's Collaborative.

Ariel also pointed out to me that the "For God & Co." is more a collaborative than multiplayer so that will be fixed in the final version too.

And now....the...uhhh...question:
Are the PBEM MP AAR's Juxtaposition(Backpack) and For a Few Ducats More(boehm) unworthly of inclusion? Links are in my sig.

I know they're not great...but...they're still AAR's and some people have commented positively on them.

Edit: Crud!...*kicks himself*...and thinks "yeah, read the instructions fully stupid backpack."

That's my problem...always running in without getting all the info first. You should have seen my first few games "sure we'll become your vassal...that sounds cool...wonder what it means."

It's hard trying to figure out how to classify/list the multi-player and/or multi-country games. At first I was tempted to try to list them under each of the counties and each of the authors but then I realised that it would take such a huge amount of time to do it that I just didn't have the heart. As it was, it took more than three months to compile the entire database, test the macros (f*cking MS macros...I *hate* Visual Basic...why couldn't it have been C++ instead?) and figure out how to output to a text file that wouldn't make the listing look wonky when it's posted on the board. Unfortunately there's also the space issue...can't let anything word-wrap and I wanted to automate the process to make it easier for me to update.

I really did give considerable thought to it. The trouble then is that to be consistent I'd have to do it for all AARs where there are more than one author. It's easy enough in the two you mentioned, and in LD's Genoa collaboration (though I don't think there's enough space in the cell definition I'm using so I'm not sure how that would affect the formatting macro I wrote), but it gets extemely difficult when you look at the RPGs and larger collaborations. Venice, for instance, would have 16 authors' names listed []per thread[/i]. Denmark is 16 or 17 too. Then there's the danger that I might miss someone's name and they'd be offended by my myopia, or whatever. Finally there's the possibility that a player is added later on or dropped later on and I don't notice and correct it and then get a nasty PM from someone accusing me of...well, you get the picture.

In the end I decided that it would be safer (and, let's face it, easier for me) simply not try to go into it. The only exception I recall making was the "Righteous BastAARds" thread where there are only the two (primary) authors...and even there I might get heck from Barkers or Sharur who have also contributed little snipits.

I figure that each of the affected projects has a player listing early in the thread, so a quick check will reveal who all's involved. There are also the links in people's sigs, etc...

Mapwise, I'm thinking of something of something like a 1419 political map with the relevant countries shown and the rest of the countries either greyed out or blacked out so you can still see the shapes but not the country colours. I don't recall who it was who's done a map sort of like that in the past, but that's roughly what I have in mind.

If I get the chance I might give it a whirl on the weekend, but if you're willing to give it a shot it'd be most appreciated.

I'm sure it's almost universally known, but for anyone new to the boards, Mr T. somehow bends the laws of time and manages to:

1)Write an amazing number of his own AARs
2)Organize collaborative AARs
3)Read and continually provide feedback to an incredible number of other peoples' AARs
4) Write, collect, compile, analyze, and share dates from board-wide surveys

AND....

5) Has put together this index, which even if it is not finished, is quite a task when you consider not only the volume of material to be indexed, but all of the possible ways it could be organized.
