thanks for bumping this one Viking. Strangely enough I was looking for a Venice AAR yesterday but couldn't find this. I just started a game as Venice (1520 start date). It's pretty tough isn't it? Especially to begin with as you have so little income. I have so far, it's about 1560, taken control of the whole Adriatic on both sides, though, and am looking at becoming Lord of the Mediterranean next.
