How about a multi player AAR. But not the way you are thinking.

In Medieval: Total War, since it has no strategic multi player, they line up a bunch of people to play the succesive rulers of one country.

You would play the leader untill he dies. Save the game, and send it to the next guy. He plays the heir untill he dies. And so on.

The AARs I have read are interesting. More than one person directing the fate of the country.

It may not work too well here. It would work better in EU2. But you could always modify it. Say a new player every so many years?

If nothing else, future AARs would be different.

sounds interesting, only flaw is that what if your country is democratic? you would only have like several years to play before you have to let the other guy play, but otherwise else, i like it :)

i suppose the best would be to change player when the ruling party changes...

This was done very entertainingly in EU2, particularly with Venice IIRC, changing every time a Dodge changed. I'm sure once people get to knowing the ins and outs of the game better they'll be up for an AAR like this. An interesting country to play would be the USA and change players every 1-2 elections (representing new presidential administrations).
