-1639 – Adventures in the Far East
-1617: Brave French explorers venture into the unknown Far East where they discover a new nation: the Ayutthaya. The Royal French Navy moves to India to prepare a massive sea-borne assault on the Ayutthaya.
We declare war on the Ayutthaya. The French armies capture Bangkok.
French troops conquer Kwai, Phuket and Kuale Lumpur and we annex the Ayutthaya. We discover another nation called Nippon or Japan.
Using all his diplomatic skill the King manages to persuade Sweden to become a part of France (I have been very lucky with the whole vasalisation/diplo-annex thing, never once did a vassal break its vassalage when I tried to annex it).
We declare war on China.
We capture Guang Dong and Tang Noah.
French forces occupy Da Nang and Da Lat and we get Guang Dong and Da Lat in a peace agreement.
-1626: We rebuild our forces in preparation for our next war with China.
We declare war on China and French troops take Tang Noah and Da Nang. In a massive battle in Guang Dong we manage destroy the main Chinese army completely.
Although our progress is slowed by the massive fortifications in Central China, we manage to conquer Hanoi, Fukien, Hunan, Kiangsi, Hubei and Jiangsu.
French forces capture Yunnan, Tejiang, Shantung and Henan.
 Chansi and Hainan surrender.
 Tienjin, Tangzouh and Liaoning surrender.
We capture Kirin, Yalu and Heiongjang. Rebellions are breaking out in all our provinces due to war exhaustion. (I noticed that the rebels won far more battles than they lost to my garrisons. I checked the rebel tech level and found that they had reached land tech 21, while I had land tech 26. Needless to say all my funds were put into land tech at this point and rebel fighting became a bit easier a few years later).
Hepei and Kyongji fall into our hands.
French forces storm the last Chinese strongholds in Liautung and Hunyang.
We annex China.
-1639: French troops slowly begin to clean up the rebellions that have spread like the plague in all our possessions. A major setback comes in 1636 and 1637 when a nasty political scandal spawns another series of large rebellions (random event: +5 revolt risk in all (national) provinces for 12 months, i.e. all provinces). Tuscany and Ethiopia declare their independence from France, but are swiftly annexed.
In 1639 the situation is once again under control.
