@perhat - It's all about name, we all become from one man don't you agree? My point is that slavonic people were one group that split apart, and that's it - having same roots as a croatians doesn't neccesarily means that we were croatians, it just means we were part of same group while ago (slavonic).

I was basically thinking the same thing. Oh and yeah, Split and Dalmatia are of "Dlmatian" culture, i have to admit, i just couldnt resist spliting Croatia a bit (they do have cores and all) cuz they seemed to revolt and own most of the balkans in like 5 consecutive games xD

We all had a big war 20 years ago and all the sides did bad things however the Chetniks(extreme nationalist) did the most crimes(genocide in croatia and bih).We are trying to forget that but we have a new generation (birth year '96,'97,'97 )which is now extremely nationalist and completely blind that other people are human too..

On this i dont know how to respond... Ure so under the influence of propaganda that its like hurting my eyes to read this. Im sure u also really believe this to be the truth, so i wont argue with u, but just have some things in mind: Not all Serbs who fought in those wars were, as Croatian media calls them "Srbo-Chetnici", and not all crimes were "genocide". Ask urself, which country of the ex-yu is most ethnically "clean" or uniform today? When u say something like "*they* did the most crimes" think about what makes u form that opinion and where u get ur facts from, cuz this kind of reasoning is usually really really bad.

But Dalmatia and Split were bilingual (speaking Croatian and Dalmatian) so i think they should be Dalmatian but in the South Slavic group.

Also to that thing u said;i said Chetniks not Serbs.There is a difference.Also i lived in Vukovar for a year and there are a lot of serbs there and they do a lot of trouble once i almost got stabbed for saying i am croat in a kafić(forgot the english term xD).
So i dont think that croats didnt do crimes we did and my father was a witness of one crime by a pro-ustase unit he tried to stop it but he couldnt they killed prisoners of war.

And the Усташе (Ustaše) they didn't kill any Serbian civilians ever, no no, they promoted peace back in 1941. and 90's.
They never burned any Serbian house, or slaughtered anyone with a knife, or threw civilians in pits and then shoot them in the head.

I'm not happy with how my country is represented in the game and I would like Paradox to devote a full patch or expansion pack to improving said region in the game. It doesn't matter that during the whole time line, this particular region was always under control by a foreign nation nor that no historically significant event ever happened there during the game's timeframe, I'd still like it to be corrected.

Also Sweden is overpowered.

As some of you sad Tvrtko I Kotromanić was king of bosnia srerbia... and, and,... that was becouse he ruled all those provences. And he did become christian only to get pope's help against Otomans (dick head didn't help). Religion in Bosnia was Church of Bosnia or Bogumili. And historically nationality was Boshnjak or more corectly Dobri Bošnjo. I'm from Bosnia and I really don't give a fu*k about nationality of any one but logicli isn't someone who live in Bosnia and Hercegovina-Bosanac i Hercegovac like someone from Serbia is Serbian someone from Croatia is Croat...

Dont get me wrong, i dont mean to insult anyone by saying this, but isnt Bosnia de facto a split country, even today? The division is different, but there is definitely no such a thing as "Bosnian" (citizen of Bosnia) nationality. Serbs live in a country called Republica Srpska, Bosniaks and Croats live in Federation, while bosnia is bascially EU financed project of union of these 2 countries... When Serbs from RS come to Serbia we do call em "Bosanci" aka "Bosnians" but that calls on their geographic origin not nationality, if u ask them a vast majority will tell u that theyre Serbs - thats at least from my experience, have in mind that alot of my family is from Banja Luka, RS.

In medieval times, even with religous difference, i really doubt ppl living there would call themselves anything other than Serbs or Croats. The only reason there could be a "Bosnian" culture in game is to be politicaly correct imo - which have very little to do with EU3.

Ok in many ways than one you are right... Neither one of us really know how did medieval ppl call them self it is speculation. But one question for you and guys from Croatia do you think ppl from RS or Federation (Bosnia and Herzegovina) are Serbs and Croats? Do you think of them as equals to you or are they just screw ups from diferent country X (bosnia in this topic) who don't know who thay realy are? How can you be anything else then Bosnian if you are born in Bosnia. I for my self don't think of me as Bošnjak I am Bosnian (Bosanac) but if not that I'm Eskim XD

The sovereign, religion, clan, tribe, regional connections mattered, ethnicity wasn't discovered till the age of enlightenment...

The hungarian tribal alliance - still in the CK era in game terms - comprised 2 jewish kabar(?) tribeswith jewish religions!
Same country: Being hungarian merely meant being the subject of the Hungarian king, or strictly meaning: being part of the nobility which was in feudal relationship with the king. It was very well possible and in fact, it happened a lot that nobles of the court! couldn't speak hungarian and still ... be a hungarian noble.

And you say that the people made distinction between people of the same language? I don't think so. They did however made distinction between religions, and having a Bosnian church is a clear and undebatable sign that there was a clear bosnian identity and thereby probably a culture. Questions are what have remained of this after the Turks took over but that is a another story.
