Might I suggest making the two sentences in the battle report have parallel structure? E.g.,
King, we have won the Battle of Province Z against Country B!
We lost X1 out of our Y1 troops.
Country B lost X2 out of their Y2 troops.
This would make the battle reports more streamlined and therefore easier to read. In contrast, in the current setup there is a grid of sorts at the bottom, with
X1 Y1
Y2 X2
At a glance, it is harder to read than the suggested
I like the screen shot. The should show the loses in the same way. Sweeden lost 343 troops out of 1500 troops. Norway lost the battle. Norway Lost 900 reoops out of 1500 troops.
Great screenshot .. looks promising, though I still hope those seemingly unhistorical amount of soldiers EU2 used will be toned down a bit in EU3 (though this screenshot does not seem to support that, but ohh well, there is still hope )
Will the armies be able to move around inside the provinces? It would be nice, since most wars of the era didn´t contain that many battles - since battles were a make or break situation - but instead consisted of large-scale looting and cutting off supply lines.
I know that this is a really far-fetched dream, but hoping is free.
Will the history log mention those casualties together with the relevant war, alliances, and the content of the peace treaty? Would be fantastic if the history log would allow such a chronicle of the nation´s history.

Perhaps this could be modeled in the way that naval battles are modeled...when two armies are in a province, and both are moving, there is only a small chance they will meet.
The forests! By god, look at those glorious FORESTS! No more giant trees poking up at random places, there's actually nature in that pic! Glorious!
Now I'm just eagerly waiting for mountains
This is wonderful, looks very promising. Although there are still small tweaks to make it seems the game graphics is progressing very well. It would seem that my faith in you, is fully deserved.
But, as someone said, I hope Sweden and Norway can't have a battle between +60 000 men in the 1500'th century. I hope this was just to demonstrate the report screen...
I wish it didn't say killed. You didn't end up with half you men killed like Norway did in that example. Could say "lost" instead, or just be less unrealistic
