i added some events to add new traits myself. I checked the events by console commands, and they work. But the problem is that they do not fire by themselves.

The trigger part might be wrong, as I first thought. However, when I triggered the events manually in console commands, it returned all the firing conditions I scripted, and they were all marked as satisfied(by a green asterisk at each condition). I have never seen such things before.

I tried other original events, but nothing that kind was observed. It either executed the command, or return error message.

Could anyone explain what it is please. Great thanks!

Thanks a lot for answer. I tried adding [250 = 100001] under one year pulse. Does this mean the character will be checked by this event every year at 250 chance? In this case, I do not really know if it fires correctly. The event is like this,

character_event = {
id = 100001
desc = "EVTDESC100001"
picture = GFX_evt_courtiers_talking

is_triggered_only = yes
min_age = 16

trigger = {

not = { stewardship = 30 }
not = { trait = over_stress }

OR = {

AND = {

primary_title = { tier = COUNT }

demesne_size = 4

}

AND = {

primary_title = { tier = DUKE }

demesne_size = 5

}

AND = {

primary_title = { tier = KING }

demesne_size = 6

}

AND = {

primary_title = { tier = EMPEROR }

demesne_size = 7

}
}
}

mean_time_to_happen = {
months = 0
}

option = {
ai_chance = {
factor = 100
}
name = "EVTOPTA100001" # Too bad!
add_trait = over_stress

hidden_tooltip = {
character_event = {
id = 38282 #Notify Over Stress
}
}
}
}

So it is a rare event, and even for those few characters who hold extra demesnes, they might just be lucky and the yearly pulse does not check them with this particular event.

I hope I understand what the mystic pulses driving events are and then I could see what is wrong with the scripting.:confused:
