Two questions regarding the screens:

- Does the "Encourage Armaments Industry" national focus also encourage artisans to produce small arms, explosives, etc...? Or would this require a different national focus?

- In the army list, some of them them are marked in red. Does this mean these forces are in battle, taking taking attrition or something else?

yes it does

Red mean you are suffering attrition

A question about the "Encourage" national focus: Does it actually subsidize such business, or does it only encourage it? If the Arms Factory in Alabama was closed, surely it was closed because it wasn't profitable, so starting a new one on the grounds of that national focus would surely also result in the new factory going in minus and being eventually closed?

I don't think the Alabama Arms Factory closed, but rather that Alabama is now Confederate territory.

That factory limit makes sense. We don't want to see tons of minor factories. Those can be represented by succesful artisans. I'm sure even small states will have enough power to get prosperous.

Good point.

The problem still stands though, if a Capitalist closes his factory - will he reopen it when encouraged only to close it again next week, or does the encouragement give actual money as well as encouragement - at least for as long as it lasts?

No you are limited to 8 unique factories in a state.

Are there any limit on the size of those 8 factories?

No that is up to your economic policy.

Some of the units appear to be at very irregular numbers, does that mean that reinforcement is automatic like EU3 and HOI3, instead of instantaneous and manual like Vicky?

yep, eu3 style.

which means that units in enemy territory need supply lines open. (ie, occupy stuff etc)

I love these AARs a great wee look into the game

but could you please have the message box up in the screen shots, its a tiny nigh-insignificant thing to do but it would open up a whole world of seeing whats going on for us of the screen-shot reading persuasion.

and that france is very historical with all those rebels
Is that an event rebellion for the end of the july?

Is King you or the monarch?

If so, it ought to be 'Your Majesty' I think. Sounds a bit odd.

Austen.

~ minor grammatical niggle: the house 'has' been assembled, not 'have'. It is a collective.

Another lovely set of screenshots!

I see you have 334k anarchist rebels and 113k reactionary rebels. Will the reactionary and anarchist rebels fight it out? I suppose they have a different cause and goal and it would be cool to see them flying different flags and fighting each other, not only the poor army in Paris. A proper civil war could break out, and if you still can negotiate with the rebels, perhaps the army could join forces with the reactionary rebels against the anarchists? (Of course at the same time giving in to the reactionary rebels demands of a reactionary government and policies).

As a side-note: If the rebels win the rebellion and cause a revolution, what decides whether it's the reactionary rebels who win or the anarcho rebels who win?

No there is no historical event for this.

Is there still some sort of scripted Liberal Revolution in this? Because I always thought it to be a terribly strange event.

Does this mean that countries can have liberal revolutions, but they happen when the population is fed up, not with scripted intervention?

That would be very cool indeed.

Royalist rebels could fly the white Bourbon banner (shown in an older screenshot) and of course should they be successful the government type would become an absolute monarchy and the Tricolour would become a thing of the past : ]
