Why are you thanking them for doing their job?

Not essentially. Cross platform MP and hotjoin haven't worked in over 5 months (has hotjoin ever worked)? These are advertised selling points on the game's page and thus EU IV meets the criteria for a non-conforming good...calling it a beta in light of that is perfectly reasonable .

The sad thing is 1.8 looks pretty good in most parts, barring the usual 1-2 woofer design choices...but I can't play it effectively due to the performance bug.

Actually this is somethign that I like. Graphical DLCs are ok. This is a way to support paradox and I personally love it when paradox makes those.

However, I am not ok with a fairly expensive DLCs that breaks the game. I wont beta test their games, this is why I will probably wait until the next patch or maybe I ll even wait until the next big sale before I buy Art of War.

P.S. And to those who think I am a DLC hater: I bought every single DLC from paradox so far, even the music DLCs. But 1.8 broke the game. That's a fact for a lot of people.

Another asskissing thread. Yes, you had great experience. I also had great experiences in this game. So what? 1.8 broke the game for many people(including myself) and this is a big issue. I hate threads like this, because they are useless.

No one is forcing you to read this thread, you know.

The amount of work and changes put into this DLC/patch is nothing short of astonishing. I think we can forgive a few minor bugs. Personally, I just think this game gets better and better. It's clear Wiz and the team have put a lot of work into this.

There are many bugs, all of which need patching, yes. Let's face it, though: AoW is still better than Civ: BE.
