I just wanted to thank paradox for delivering such a great expansion, despite all the complaints about bugs people have been yelling about. This game has given me great moments such as this one ( my favorite, especially using the new expansion)

Watching a break up that has only been rivaled by the break up of the real life Ottoman Empire happen to my greatest enemy was amazing.

( Also, does anyone know a better way to upload photo's to the forum? right now, I'm uploading to the steam cloud, then to imgur, then to the website, it's kind of inefficient?)

Also #2 that burgundy though, completely AI's job, though I am allied with it now

Nice, if it was on ironman mode what was your strategy?

Also, I really like the patch too. I am pretty content on the AE levels right now, better than it tossing and turning.

Unfortunately, it wasn't on ironman, I'm only mediocre at tiny nations, I did the best I could without cheats, but I think I ended up giving myself some gold to pay off loans at the start before I became big enough to fend for myself. I still want to do the same thing on ironman (another problem: I hate lucky nations, and with the Ottomans as one it makes that playthrough much harder)

Edit: this thread wasn't made so much to tout my achievement, I just thought that break-up was awesome, don't think I've seen one like that before

It's an awesome game all around- AI vijayanagar owns most of India too. France (as you can see) has been kicked out of Europe, but is now basically French Louisiana, able to produce around 50k troops. Also, the Oirat Horde seems to be about to eat a divided and weakened China

I have to say, it's pretty abrasive to see nonsense like this:

I just wanted to thank paradox for delivering such a great expansion, despite all the complaints about bugs people have been yelling about

In case you haven't noticed, a good % of those "complaints people are yelling about" (the implications here are utter garbage) are issues like the game not saving whatsoever, MP being completely unplayable before the hotfix, and months taking over 3 times longer than the previous patch.

There's nothing to "thank" for that. For those of us hit by one of the above issues, patch 1.8 literally broke gameplay. I haven't made it past 1500 yet because the game slows to a crawl on speed 5. It's fine for some, but I can't even get to praising or complaining about mechanics in detail, because I'd have to actually be able to use them for a while.

Three things,
1: that comment was mainly aimed at people who aren't complaining about game-breaking bugs/ changes that they personally don't like, and there are plenty of those people
2: I personally have not seen very many game- breaking bug complaints, I may just be blind, who knows, but that's the basis my comment was made on.
3: Paradox still put in hundreds of hours into trying to deliver a great update, and for most people, myself included, it works just fine. There is no reason I can't thank them for that.

Remember, you can always revert to a previous patch, it takes all of a minute, until the bugs are fixed, and I am sorry if you took the implications in my statement personally.

Good job wiz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you really wanted to just thank them, you wouldn't have taken a pot-shot at people who don't feel the same by blathering that nonsense about "yelling", but you did that.

That's weak, and so is your logic of "just go back to the previous version while I thank PI for the new one that you can't play".

I don't take issue with you liking the patch or the fact that you've missed a thread over 15 pages long on performance issues (while not the only one of its kind), but if you're going to take a cheapshot at other posters, at least try to do it less flagrantly so it isn't so easy to call you out on it ^_^. I like debate but I can't debate with what is functionally nothing.

Really again with the shenanigans... Do you always complain.. The guy is Thanking them of there hard work which really is amazing considering the amount that this patch and DLC came with and all your got to do is complain?

I didn't realize claiming people are "yelling" on an internet forum constitutes "thanking for hard work". But should I really bother addressing an ad hominem?

P.S. maybe you should get a better pc... stop playing on a pentium 4 or got back to civ 5, Thanks

Oooh, an inaccurate ad hominem with some petty assumptions piled on top, pretty impressive to stack multiple fallacies into such a short amount of text.

Nevermind that people with i5s and i7s are getting the exact same issue, which you would know if you ever actually read about it.

No, you don't like debate, you like picking fights out of what was intended to be a simple thank you, perhaps I didn't word it in the most politically correct way, but It was NOT intended to be a potshot. Trust me though, I understand, I pick fights way too often myself, but I don't want to on the forums. Fighting on the internet is pointless and frustrating, a waste of time, so let's not do it.

EDIT: Tekjunkie, thanks for the support, but I do know that there are performance issues for some people with good computers, though I thought they were limited to certain screens.

Where is France in exile? The AI will always form France if it meets the conditions, so I assume they've migrated somewhere.

Thanks, and It is mainly in the Louisiana colonial nation territory, though it has a large amount of Colonial-Mexico as well. It's actually very impressive how it's recovered from basically being like 3 provinces to being able to produce 50k soldiers.

Edit: one of the strangest things this game- Danish Mexico :D... well, and Croatian Guyana, but that's me.

I haven't run into any of the bugs that plague other people, and I am very happy with the expansion/patch. A lot has changed, mostly for the better, so, for now, I am one happy camper.

Haven't played the new patch yet but that gets me excited. How exactly did they collapse? Was it mainly through rebels or something else?
I also love AOW :D

Also, Banner of Rome, please preserve Syria - it is unusual to see and beautiful

Well, Obviously I took anatolia, but I did also force them to release Syria. The rest was all rebels :D it was amazing... the main reason so many spawned was because of how much that was was a total victory in my favor, I got like 99% warscore, and they received 20 war exhaustion :D.

Karjzen, I know, I really want them to live, but I don't know where to expand so much now that my mini- reconquista (rekonkviste) is done. We are allies though, so I'll probably finish taking out the ottomans and Qara, then focus on the new world, I only have one colonial nation

Another asskissing thread. Yes, you had great experience. I also had great experiences in this game. So what? 1.8 broke the game for many people(including myself) and this is a big issue. I hate threads like this, because they are useless.
