With so many of Mitteleuropa's troops committed in Russia, now would be the best time for the Entente to strike.....:D

Well, if they wait a lot longer it will be suicide to strike.
However the Germans will be pissed at them anyway thanks to the lend-lease, so intervening doesn't look that bad.
I'd say the best option for Canada would be to negotiate a conditional surrender for the Soviets so they can keep serving as a counterweight to Mitteleuropa, but that won't happen as it would mean an anticlimatic end to this AAR (except if Teufel decides to just declare war on Canada when they try to broker a peace which doesn't involve Vladivostok becoming part of China).

Sorry for the delay, but RL has really pinned me down and it's really hard to keep the old pace of updates in place. If I manage to get some more free time in late June, it will get better, but I promise you that this story will be wrapped up one way or another.

About some ingame developments many of you are pointing on: Yes, this is golden chance for mega-Entente to backstab neo-Mitteleuropa, but to be frank, it would be already enough if Arab-Persian Gulf alliance would join the war on Soviet side and it'd be already too much for for my allies in the West to handle. Ottomans would collapse under pressure and so would Central African Empire. And after that, Soviets would probably manage to waltz into Berlin. They are now collapsing due to their AI not being able to handle too many fronts, but otherwise Soviet Republic and India alone would be almost too strong for the EAA already. Canadian alliance sitting on a fence could be probably explained with political reasons though. Even if Soviet Republic falls, they can probably push for peace and pick the Syndicalist leftovers to expand their bloc. UoB could fall into Canadian hands like a ripe fruit, without a single bullet being fired...that's just hypothesis, not a spoiler though.

Thanks for comments, everyone!

The tide in Northern China is slowly, but surely turning in EAA's favor. Large mass of enemy troops is trapped in Yan'an, with EAA doing everything to prevent them from fleeing to the North.

Soviets are now in stage of accelerated collapse and even Lend-Lease aid that is delivered by British forces trough the Murmansk and Archangelsk can't turn the tide of war. The only hope for Moscow and Soviet Republic in general to be saved is now the direct intervention of Atlantic Treaty. It would be certainly most inconvenient if President Dassault of France should decide to waltz into Rhineland with an army of legionnaires behind his back. German positions in West remain stretched thin and manned by skeleton crews made of inexperienced recruits. Mobile veteran forces could be certainly redirected back to the West in order to save Berlin, but this would also mean the German surrender of Eastern Front. Soviets, battered and exhausted as they are, are still refusing to lay down their arms and every little shock on German side would allow them to regroup and counter-attack.

In spite of heavy loses, the desperate forces of PLA still do not seem to be losing their will to offer a fierce resistance to advancing EAA troops.

Socialist forces in Africa are making worrisome advances into core territories of Central African Empire. The risk of Ethiopian and South African armies meeting in East Africa must be averted at any cost.

Massive tank battles are still common sight in Northern China. North American war correspondents are especially amused to see such tremendous quanity of steel being engaged in endless operations.
ScreenSave93_zpss1f0juyj.png

Another invasion is launched against Ryukyus. This time, amphibious assault is supported by well-aimed airborne operation and series of fierce air raids.

Moscow is surrounded together with a peak of Soviet goverment. Premier Cherdenko who suffered light head injury during one of German air raids which delayed the plan for evacuation of Soviet leadership to the North has now became increasingly paranoid, demanding that nobody should leave his position and that fight must go on until the last drop of blood. His aggressive behavior that continues to reinforce his iron grip over Moscow guarantees that the reasonable end of hostilities might not be in sight. All land, air and water routes from Moscow are blocked by forces of Mitteleuropa and the grand battle for Soviet capital is about to start. Berlin is worried about potential casulties, but the chances for palace coup inside Kremlin are extremly thin. Several high ministers, potential rivals of Cherdenko, have misteriously disappeared, and exhausted but battle-hardened defenders will not leave their positions. Soviet troops do not care about the rumours of Cherdenko going mad. Some of those rumours say that one moment he is either daydreaming of finding a time machine in one of top secret underground bunkers, or demanding that that spaceship has to be prepared for him in order to be sent to Soviet space station together with greatest living champions of Soviet socialism; other time he is supposed to be furiously walking around his underground quarters, moving ghost divisions around the map and demanding that no step back should be made, declaring that he is also ready to die on the battlefield. However, much more than their dear leader is at stake for Soviet soldiers. Fall of Moscow would not dishonor only Soviet socialism, but Mother Russia as well.

Meanwhile, EAA continues to push on all fronts. A massive attack is launched against Indian-controlled old capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, in order to distract Indian commanders and prevent them from pestering allied forces in Burma and other crucial places.

Northern Okinawa is taken by EAA paratroopers and marine infantry that continue to operate under cloak of close air support that is provided by experienced Japanese pilots. Advance on Southern Okinawa can not be stopped now.

EAA is now at the gates of Ulan Bator while PLA are are slowly, but surely being pushed into Manchuria in spite of their heavy resistance. At the current pace it seems that even Sinkiang will be taken long before Manchuria will finally fall into hand of East Asian Army.

@Asalto

I don't know, it looks to me like the Bolshevik menace in Moscow is on its last legs, but I'm not privy to how much manpower and industrial capacity they have in Asia.

@der Kriegsherr Well, their demise is probably really the fault of their AI, I've seen entire Soviet tank divisions being deployed to Burma while Moscow was already under the siege.

Thanks for comments, everyone!

While the heavy battles continue to rage in continental Asia, Soviet forces in Europe have started running out of breathe. Moscow is now just an isolated pocket of resistance, located far behind the enemy lines.

In spite of the forces of ''Mitteleuropa'' already racing trough the Urals, Soviet troops that were attached to allied forces in East Asia had no other choice but to stick with their comrades and hold their ground against the attacking EAA units.

Ryukyu Republic has finally surrendered, with area being put under joint occupation of general East Asian Army troops and the security forces of EAA's Army of Japan.
ScreenSave110_zpsyrkq6nwc.png

PLA forces in Manchuria continue to hold their positions, prompting EAA supreme command to dispatch more even reinforcements and distinguished commanders to prop up the exhausted troops in this area.
ScreenSave111_zpsv5cj3ycy.png

The near collapse of Himalayan front does not help the general military effort of the East Asian Empire. Troops of socialist India and their Syndicalist allies storm the EAA positions with unprecedented brutality, forcing Sino-German units to abandon their fortified posts.
ScreenSave112_zpsnfxop0yb.png

ScreenSave113_zpskaviwlae.png

However, the advance of Indian forces is soon halted by the heavy airstrikes that are carried out by elite air support forces of the EAA's Army of Japan.
ScreenSave114_zpsjztlkpvx.png

The mass of Sino-Soviet armor is engulfed by the sea of fire at Xilinhot thanks to superiority of EAA Panzerwaffe. PLA and Red Army suffer significant loses both on the battlefield and during the hasty retreat. EAA's mobile artillery corps continued to pound enemy positions without mercy even during the harsh pursuit of retreating hostile troops.
ScreenSave115_zpskythyj75.png

Indian counter-offensive in Burma failes as well thanks to joint effort of EAA and allied Malay forces. The latter are ironically fighting under combined operational command headed by Thai General Chan-o-cha, the feared ''Tiger of Malaya'' who was overseeing the siege of Singapore. Fortunately, this fact does not seem to have demoralizing effect on Malay forces that are even made of many veterans of past wars. The mix of respect for former foe and admiration of capable present ally does actually seem to have a positive overall effect for general combat morale.
ScreenSave116_zpsh9zntqer.png

EAA Panzertruppen are now finally attempting to push into Manchuria for good. The exhaustion seems to be taking a heavy toil on enemy forces, but PLA and their Syndicalist allies are still not to be underestimated. Advance into enemy heartlands is coming with visible increase in the strength of enemy numbers. However, swiftly mobilized enemy troops are a mixed bag of experienced veterans returning from short vacation and a mass of greenhorns what might either prove as either mostly pathetic or very dangerous combination.
ScreenSave117_zpswj0ngazh.png

The Indian advance into Tibet is finally halted and EAA forces being to counter-attack. Elite rangers of Guards Corps are spearheading the counter-offensive in harsh mountainous terrain.
ScreenSave118_zpsd1bygzdp.png

EAA in the South is now confident enough to enter the next phase of operations. The new plan is centered on a goal of cutting Burma from Indian influence once and for all.

Situation in Africa is not looking too good as the Central African Empire is begining to lose the hope of ever getting back the access to East Africa again.
ScreenSave121_zps3yneadvb.png

Situation is much less grim in Europe where the German Heer and allied armies are swiftly advancing deeper and deeper into Eurasia, leaving only encircled fortified pockets of Soviet resistance like Moscow, Peterburg and Volgograd behind to be dealt with later. Forces of Mitteleuropa faction are stretched thin and it would be dangerous to risk valuable manpower and material for risky assaults on besieged major cities. Soviet partisans are also wrecking havoc behind enemy lines, cutting supply lines and harrassing smaller units. forcing Germans to rely on willing local collaborators and 2nd grade allied forces. Due to what they saw as relative cultural similarities, the decision makers in Berlin trusted administration of the large swathes of Southern Russia to Ukrainean military authorities. The state of Ukraine is now a defunct kingdom that used to be ruled by Habsburg king until the governing Hetman established full-fledged personal regime few decades after the Great War. Now, the militarized Cossack-dominated state has provided significant military support during the war against Soviet Republic. This help was not seen only on the frontlines, but also in the rear as mobile Cossack forces proved to be very suitable for anti-partisan duty tasks. Even more, the call of Hetman Kravchuk for general Cossack unity proved to be a relatively successful move in the long turn, resulting in creation of several collaborating Russian Cossack hosts that fell out of favor with the increasingly paranoid Soviet regime which declared many (once loyal) Red Cossacks for defeatists that were not being able to hold their ground in Don and Kuban areas. In return, those new-old warlords that used to fight under the red banner were now keeping order in their pseudo-republics that were put under protection of Ukrainean Hetman that continued to boast about the magnificent Cossack unity that he managed to achieve. However, Berlin was not so euphoric about this cooperation...

Surprisingly, the Soviet military presence in Central Asia was still very strong. Regional commanders were rather defending their posts instead of hurrying back to Moscow as the proximity of friendly India was much better guarantee for safe retreat. This was of course not too pleasant fact for supreme leader of German China as the Heer and its allies were already approaching depths of Siberia while East Asian Empire has not even liberated the Manchuria yet. Teufel's megalomanic dreams where he waltzed into the Europe with his Asian armies as the mighty savior of German civilization were thus already shattered. Either the North Americans press for the rotten compromise or the Germans reach the boundaries of his empire, it was not good outcome for him. He wasn't even sure what was the lesser evil between these two scenarios. Allow North Americans to settle in the middle of Eurasian heartlands or lose his face and appear as weakling German puppet that has allowed his masters to save him from certain doom by conquering everything between the Ukraine and China?

Just a placeholder to avoid the unfortunate number of posts...

If there was a Catalan tank commadner messing around, the Panzers would be, by now, in Vladivostok :p

I first thought he was talking about 666 post, but his one is the 668th one. Why is 667 unfortunate?

It was actually 666 in the forum topic/thread title as the first post of AAR isn't counted there. Too bad I didn't take the screenshot before. :D

But you can see there is always one post less listed here, it's 671 instead of 672 as it is inside the thread:

And I just could not let the ''Devil'' in a story title and 666 to stay together.;)

The "one less post" is something that comes back from the old days of the forum, methinks.
