No count was a Muslim in CK... I think I've realised what happened though - one further count was in EU2's Sivas, while the rest of Sivas was Muslim and Seljuk. The converted game had the capital in Kurdestan, but it was also given Sivas, three quarters Muslim. I can only think this was the cause of it. I ended up with a Muslim vassal.

Now get a command window. (I assume, btw, that you are on a Windows box.) Go to the directory, and enter

java Converter <MySaveGame.eug>

This is a bit embarrising but I don't seem to find the command window. I thought it was somewhere in the WINDOWS folder but where? Could anybody point me in the right direction, please?

It is under accessories in the XP start menu, and can also be accessed by typing "command" in the run dialogue (again XP, I think it is different under other windows systems).

Not quite sure of what you meant, but, in the command prompt, you should "cd" to the folder in which you downloaded your converter. Then you should type something like :

java -cp . Converter "E:\Paradox Entertainment\CK v105\scenarios\save games\autosave.eug" "E:\Paradox Entertainment\EU2 v109 - Essais\Scenarios\de Normandie.eug"

"E:\Paradox Entertainment\CK v105\scenarios\save games\autosave.eug" leads to your CK save file without needing to copy/paste it in the converter folder.
"E:\Paradox Entertainment\EU2 v109 - Essais\Scenarios\de Normandie.eug" puts the converted file directely in the EU2 folder.


But if you have the save file in the converter folder you just type something like :

java -cp . Converter autosave.eug deNormandie.eug

As gigau pointed out, it sounds as though you were not in the correct folder when you tried to run the converter.

Again, people, let me encourage you to send me a PM if you have questions about the converter; I don't check this thread that often, but I always read my PMs.

I wish to just pin point a detail. I advise to change a line in the tagInfo.txt file from

ERET;LIT;Eretnid

to

ERET;FEZ;Eretnid

I don't remember seeing the Eretnids appear in the 1066 scneario, but they rule over Morocco in the 1327 scenario. And if, like in my latest game, Lituania is conquered and disappears, you get a kingdom of Lithuania in Morocco.... which, with the union of Poland with Lithuania event in EU2, would show a strange country

Change Eretnids in Fez is just an idea... i guess Morocco (MOR) would be just as good.

That's not question to ask.... it's a really great tool. Makes this quite realistic, and you can modifiy parameters if you see fit.

The only other converter i know of is the one in-game. And that one is a mess. I don't want to hear about it.

The thing you might have problem with is the installation as you got to work on java.... for through explanation, check page 9, post #210 .

There's also 3-4 dynasties in Asia Minor that converts to LIT. And when i use the converter it's not only when LIT doesn't exist it's also when it exist then it just get annexed by LIT.(Not in game, by the converter)

Got to correct that. In 1337 scenario, the Eretnids are in Anatolia and it's the Marinids that are in Morocco.
So i changed it this way from :

ERET;LIT;Eretnid
MARI;LIT;Marinid

to

ERET;TUR;Eretnid
MARI;FEZ;Marinid
