What is the correct method of install please?
It's a "bug " in the installer that adds "A Stony Road to war" to the installation-path if you choose sth. different than the standard it wants to use.
Just delete that last part when you have to choose location and install.
I would recommend waiting two hours for beta4.
All is ready now except compilation and the digging int the new installation tool (the other is too fuzzy somehow)


I played the new beta as Poland for a change. Nice cheap tech but a low manpower headache
The use of cheaper tech allover makes it very easy to tweak each country from now on. ;-) In Poland's case it comes into the allies too late to gain techsharing, so it Has to do some researching. And i rather do that than throw tech at them


Excellent China/Japan balance. In 1950 (my last save), Japan owns about 1/4 of China.
Nice ;-) Last times i did some handsoff with a mix of risingsun and stonyroad (so i can betatest both at the same time )
China crushed Japan in 1940. Now i just have to change to an invasion AI and Japan is under pressure :)


problem of lousy troop placement.
Hopefully france now places better


The USA is very weak overseas and still doesn't do amphibious landings worth mentioning.
USA now does not focus on air power so much.


Norway looked rather weak - only a few troops.
Noticed that too, but somehow holland must have a chance to take scandinavia out :D


Russian airforce was big but very weak. Very few fighters and I don't remember it actually bombing me at all.
I do not mind if they do not bomb. But they have to have adequate fighters to protect their troops properly.

Nooty, the mod still spells my name rodentdug. It should be dung not dug. Oops, I meant Nighty not Nooty.

Also, when I invaded America as Germany, it took like a month or more just to go to the next territory. I had to use paratroopers for the first time ever to hop around or it would have taken many years just to take the US mainland and Canada. It was pretty much empty except for the usual stacks of fighter planes the USA likes to build. I don't agree with all the people complaining about the units moving too fast. Too slow in my opinion.

Units are half-speed in the mod.
If you land in america they will most probably strat bomb you to zero infrastrtucture, check on that !

Think you're doing an aweswome job here, man. Where do you find the time?
I'd like to try your Germany scenario but I've just finished a game as GER and decided to give Jerry a rest for a while. My GER games so far have all ended the same way: USSR collapse when I cross the Dniepr in strenght. Are the Russians tough in your mod?

So I think I'll try your Japan scenario. I haven't played the Pacific at all so it be almost a new game.
I have a question for you about carriers. I'm using the mod with the beefed-up carrier stats that Graycloak posted a while back. I like this change and I'd like to keep it in, but maybe it would unbalance your scenario. What do you say?

Thanks. The point is notepad is all you need, and 10minutes of time now and then for fixes + some hours for major work every few days.
And the main point is i nearly do no handsoff games, only just before release. Handsoff games cost lot of time.
Therefore i need feedback by you all. As it seems till now this method has worked out somehow.


So I think I'll try your Japan scenario.
Redownload the new version featuring graycloaks carrier mod, which should prove important for Japan in Rising Sun.
I hope you are an experienced player, as i have the feeling NatCHina is TOO STRONG for japan now...

i am happy you had so much fun. beta4 should be just the same with invasions in the west even worse. additionally i twaeked the russian ai changes as (i did not get that) the russian ai changed when smolensk and kiev are fallen to a ai i do not like. Now, if fhtes cities fall, there will ba a much tougher AI left for russia.

I'll double the start redeploy numbers. For Russia it is way too high. This also should fix nonsense a bit like ai redeploying into a pocket :rolleyes:

Already have upped manpower to 900, maybe need some higher, i will do after you recommendation.

New version with that fixes in 10 minutes

Brrr, did the fixes.

I just saw i had already considered strat_redeploy too low and had set it to 12days in beta3. This means if it would take longer than 12days only then it redeploys.
Fatally enough as i said the ai changed to the standard ones via some triggers when having taken certain provinces. The strat_redeploy_value for russia is "3" !!! This means all movements that would take longer than 3days are strategically redeployed!! This would explain this wild shuffeling of the russian ai sometimes ...

I now set it to 15 days.

Please give feedback on that.

Looked is not the same as invading Oslo with 5 inf div there fishing :p and oh yeah almost defeating 45 top notch divs :eek:

If you try invading Sweden you are dead believe me hehe

"German Agression in the Baltics"
This has nothing to do with MolRib. It is triggered by the fact that you have taken any of these: lithuania (most probably), latvia or estonia. In the newer version of Stony Road Poland has no claims on Lithuania and therefore you should not be able to get your hands on the baltics without DOWing them....
It is no good idea to attack sth. the USSR has desires for..
The trigger is the following:

If you want to take it out search for the text " in the baltics", you'll find that. If you want to take all the baltics wipe that event out.
