I played the new beta as Poland for a change. Nice cheap tech but a low manpower headache. Were it not for the low MP it would have been an easy crush. Anyways, Germany went down early without annexing anyone which is expectable. I declared war on the rest of the world for a nasty free-for-all.
As for feedback:
Excellent China/Japan balance. In 1950 (my last save), Japan owns about 1/4 of China. This is complicated by Russia fighting Japan however and Japan was once pushed off the mainland and made a comeback amazingly.
There's a bug (not mod's fault) when I declared war on China making China ally
with Japan as well as being at war. I think it stopped them from fighting.
Nationalistic China had 671 land divisions - 90% militia - before I nuked them. This is good because it keeps them in the game.
Netherlands, Belgium, France fought hard and seem fine the way you've got them now except for the ai problem of lousy troop placement.
Russia is tough but be careful not to weaken them. They've got a massive glass jaw - the ai. I had no manpower left at all and only 68 divisions to defend from Poland down to the Black Sea facing stacks of savage commies. Here nukes came in handy again. The allies, mostly french, are mopping up the charred remains.
The USA is very weak overseas and still doesn't do amphibious landings worth mentioning. They had already finished-off Central & South America after my dowing spree and had no excuse for their slothfulness. They send all their useless strat bombers to every fight and only 1 or 2 ground units at most.
The UK fought hard in Sweden and Finland and ran out of troops when the Russian war started. The dumb old ai was building stacks of planes again and no ground units. UK and France left all their overseas holdings completely undefended except for a few units in Indochina which were crushed by Siam. France took back indochina and annexed Siam.
Norway looked rather weak - only a few troops. They were part of the allies and I didn't see them participate in any of the fighting around them.
The USA has an ultra-stupid ai. It strategic bombs empty enemy provinces down to 1 infrastructure and makes it impossible for itself or allies to move into the province to take it. Finland must have lasted 2-3 years despite being attacked by the UK, USA and Russia at the same time!
Russian airforce was big but very weak. Very few fighters and I don't remember it actually bombing me at all. I only had one stack of 6 fighters defending and they killed many russian bombers by intercepting into Russian territory. It was hard to tell because the US had countless bombers flying everywhere all the time.
The whole world was at war except for Paraguay thanks to Poland's lavish use of the declare war feature. That's what allies are for I guess. The Poles got used to the 100% dissidence and took it fairly well. I have some more nukes to deploy.
Looking good. Just waiting for those amphibious landings to finally start happening. The US landed once with 30 divisions in France during my Germany game but still too little and they were immediately taken out.
