My next work on stony road will be multiplayer scenarios.

1) AXIS - Scenario
2) ALLLIES/COMINTERN - Scenario
3) Balanced Scenario


My intention is to create scnearios based upon Stony Road to challenge group of multiplayer playing one side (Axis or allies/comintern) and give them a challenge.


But i intent to include some special modifications also, one which is to make paratroopers so expensive nobody would be able to use them.

If you have any further suggestions please let me hear about them.

Many people love coop - games vs AI, even though I have to say that a main challenge in MP is that there are less deceisive AI mistakes which you can exploit ;)

Besides that I am still sure that temporary reducing the Manpower pool of a nation who occupies a foreign province would be a good thing for games vs the AI (and prolly also for MP, even though I have yet to see an Axis victory...) - unfortunately I don't have too much time the next two weeks to try to implement that feature, so people could see it's effect "live". Would be great if you could take another look in my thread in the modding forum and help me out with my newbie questions if possible :p

About Paratroopers: the only real problem is that you can load them so fast in and out. I think Parachutes are a very good thing, but conquering Africa in no time is simply an exploit.

Do you think it could be possible to implement for example a feature "three-day-till-province-under-full-control" in general?

That could help eleminating rushes and also paradropping like mad (maybe it would also be possible to have AI react aggressive vs paradrops -> sending fighters asap to destroy the transporters?) rather then nerfing Parachutes and movement speed in general.

With Johan telling us that they work on improving MP I hope it will become more popular, and I am sure Mods going MP will help a lot, too.

Bloody Reich is a MP Mod

It can be played SP, but its main purpose is for multiplayer.

I've heard Stony Road makes the game harder. That's good. Thing to keep in mind while porting it to MP is that in 1936 scenario, Axis almost never win. MP is plenty challenging for all players, though, because diplomacy can change the balance of power very quickly.

A Stony Road To War (1936-2003)
The scenario starts in 1936 with the political frame known from the original Hoi "Road To War" scenario. What is different is the level of difficulty that Stony Road lets the human player experience. You can play the Single Player (SP) variant as Germany or you can decide to play Multiplayer (MP) with friends and play as the three axis powers.


A World Tumbling (1936-2003)
The scenario lets you take one the nations that make the AlCo (Allies-Comintern). You can try to defeat the Axis alone (SP-variant) or with friends in the multiplayer variant.


Rising Sun (1936-2003)
This scenario focuses on Japan. Try your luck defeating Nationalist China, conquer the pacific and fight the USA as a single player.


(MP-Axis) A Stony Road To War (1936-2003)
This is the multiplayer variant of "A Stony Road". You can play it as Germany, Japan or Italy.


(MP-AlCo) A World Tumbling (1936-2003)
Focusing on the Allies and Comintern you can lead any of the allied powers or lead the soviets in their fight against the axis.
