The actual scope of this is fairly small - it shouldn't need new nations or leaders so the main work would just be modding events and whatnot.
My idea is based around an early war, sometime in the early-mid 30s - based off of the 1933 scenario but perhaps set slightly after, perhaps mid '34 - though using an existing OOB would cut down on work.
What would occur is a Soviet invasion of Poland, which would open up an intriguing can of worms.
The actual reason I'm not 100% sure about - could be a Trotskyite soviet union, some event in eastern Europe, or something that happens in Germany or the west.
In this case, Germany would then have the option to aid Poland - demanding some form of territorial compensation or take advantage of the situation (with possible repercussions from the western allies), with further possible reactions from Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Italy (perhaps Austria too?).
Soviet Victory in eastern/central Europe might then lead to a western-soviet war (world revolution, ect), whereas German victory (probably resulting in some kind of treaty) would result in a German-Hungarian-Polish bloc and a probable war with Italy, France and the UK over Austria.
Initially Germany would probably be relying heavily on brownshirt militia(I'm not sure if they would be best represented as 'militia' or heavily outdated infantry), which would be interesting and there are other possible complications if this all happens before the night of the long knives.
The typical sort of run of things I think would be:
-Soviet Invasion of Poland
-German reaction, send troops to resit Soviets while also occupying Upper Silesia and Danzig, + possibly the Corridor and Posen.
-Soviet diplomacy toward Czechoslovakia? Czechs declaring war on Poland and Germany, with Hungary potentially joining on on the Polish/German side.
-Presuming a German victory, Czechoslovakia parturition between Germany and Hungary, Poland making gains in east, maybe some attempt to restore the commonwealth?
-If Soviets/Czechs won, Czechs would annex Upper and Lower Silesia, with Poland otherwise annexed into the Soviet Union - at that point France/UK would attempt to force a peace that maintained a rump Germany, and failing that would DOW Soviets. Nazis would probably fall from power either way.
