A revolution in making AARs!!

Now, I've got myself macromedia flash MX and I'm going to learn how to animate good! Anyone know of a website that "teaches" newbies like me?

Anyway, to the point! This AAR is going to be published in Flash Animation totally! After each "episode" is finished I'll post them here (or in a new thread). So, what do you think?

I can give you tips... things you'd only figure out with experience... but I think you need a book to learn the actionscript... it can get pretty hairy...

I notice that Flash often slows things down a lot. Is that just me?

So what are the advantages with using asctionscript? You don't have to explain it all, just what do you use the scripts for?

Actionscript is the basis of almost nearly all you do in intermediate and above flash....

-it allows interactivity(buttons and such)
-better control over your movie
-actionscript can make your movies do things that the simple drawing tools can't...

If you have ANY interest in working with flash and getting at least some of the real power out of it, then you need to know how to do the actionscripting....

That is a great idea, i cant wait to see how you do them. However you may have to provide links to the more "Memory hungry" animation parts. Feel free to post your text in the post but make sure you have just links to your complex presentations. We will see how it goes.

If you do flash right... you can make it so a 28.8 modem can view with a minimum of delay....

Music makes the file size a lot larger.... remember that....

5+ MB !!! Good thing I'm at work and can pull the sucker down fast.

I find the scrolling a tiny bit jumpy and I can see how it would be fast for non-English people. Probably slowing it down to about 2/3 of that rate would be a little easier.

Neat concept though...but where's the pan shot to the battle cruiser?

My My My, I have a high speed connection and its still pretty slow to load. Hmm, will it eventually start? lol... Ah! I'm done downloading it but for some reason, it doesn't work. Hmm....
