The curve can be seen in the point at which they began to trade-the first, the HRE, at 6-6, the second, USB, at 5-5, the third, Germany, at 4-4 and the fourth, Leon, at 3-4. Those four countries have a vast number of merchants in play, in some cases multiplied by several fold.

The advantage has, of course, been exponential, the original crop of merchants increasing TE, which in turn increased revenue, which in turn increased tech, which in turn increased TE. But as all countries in play were in play when it was first established, it doesn't deserve an edit. Certain countries got on the ball more quickly-and now those countries are benefiting.

It has nothing to do with the patch.

The trouble is, this particular change is too big and too definitively negative. For one thing, the HRE, Germany, the League, Morocco and Meso won't fight another war for two hundred years.

For another, the League's stab cost will be over 5,000 ducats. Given the plethora of stab-hitting events and the new civil war rules, it may well be unplayable.

No problem then. But we should play last patch (having 2 installations of EU2 is something I could prefer not to have).

Now, if BB reductions are accepted. Then, how much? (countries with high BB pre-patch should have high BB post-patch, but I do not know under which point they could be playable again, until their stab costs are as they were before patch?)

2. Other countries that have not been AI'd and were in from the beginning are also behind the curve. Sicily on the same scale, 2-3, while Byzantium is on the cusp of infra 4. Similiarly, Morocco is only 2-4, while Meso is 3-3. Mecklemburg is at 2-5, about to hit 3-5, but Leon is at 3-4 and will likely remain so for some time. Meanwhile, Germany, at 4-4, is running only one point in each category ahead of Meso.

shows i had severe damage in tech cause of ai for 50years
and being ai'd again wasn't my fault , connection drop can happend to anybody wich i stil feel relative punisht for , as i never got any repairs for ai (sliders and tech both behind quite alot)

Hmmm considering I play Russia already and Kiev is never played, I think that would be a cool twist.

As to BB, there could be a few other options too.

1. Release nations at -3 or -5 bb each?
2. Decrease the nations that are over the limit... for a price.
3. Decrease bb, at a cost to centralisation, or another slider that that nation holds dear.

Being one of the few nations that has actually kept their bb reasonable, I do not like the thought of the nations that couldn't keep themselves from high bb getting free handouts.

30years before i joined , stil counts as ai doesn't move sliders , 26 from ai while my connection dropped , didn't have change to get sub that time , just had no connection and game is in midle of night so can't use internet cafe either

That's hardly a fair analysis.

It isn't that we racked up high BB and are now suffering the appropriate consequences. The consequences are being tacked on after the fact. Ex post facto, my dear friend, is something we Americans still don't like.

As I said, don't go with the patch or fix the BB.

The 10% increase is across the board. So if we bumped you, the wealthy countries would deserve a bump as well. It's the same ratio-that hasn't changed.

What you want is a free bonus, not compensation. That's the difference.

Actually, I can see doing this...

Assume a reduction in BB of 20 for the HRE, for example, taking into consideration diplo-annexations and such. These shouldn't be force-released, because the last minor I took out was a half century ago.

But my centra could be cut by four to represent the peaceful swallowing of four countries.

It's a fair idea.

Unfortunately, the Hanseatic League's centra would be cut to one and it might not be enough.

I think this game is the pinnacle of what a joke the ahead penalty really is.

As to techs, joining late meant Meso, Georgia, and Muscowy had far less time to powertech like you were able to do. We were literally thrown back 20 years or more because we were still in the early stages of squishing AI while you guys had almost finished.

If you agrue about us geting 3/4 techs, while you have 6/6 or 7/7, agruing that it was all hardwork on your part while we were slacking, bs. We could go on like this, but there will always be that legacy of AI, which really sucks.

We checked the techs before we went. There was relative parity, at least on a curve.

What you're asking for is ridiculous. A tech boost because you're losing the income wars fairly. You also avoided all the human conflicts, had the AI math working BB (particularly beneficial for Georgia) and came in about the same level. Is there a slight disadvantage? There sure is.

You knew that when you signed up. The fact that it's compounded several times over hardly deserves an edit. Take a look at the merchants...

The countries that put in the effort to trade-and for Leon and Germany it was a long climb-are the ones doing the best.
